To support the UN-Habitat’s New Urban Agenda, the non-profit organisation Oceanix has come forward and designed the blueprint for the world’s first sustainable floating community. Alongside that the UN-Habitat is also working with the MIT’s Centre for Ocean Engineering to ensure if these structures can sustain the category five weather conditions which includes Tsunamis, hurricanes and other severe weather extremities.
