Vietnam Honeymoon Package(3N/4D): Overview
This 3 nights 4 days Vietnam honeymoon package keeps a couple's first trip abroad short and easy, with three nights in a boutique hotel on Hang Gai, the old silk street of Hanoi's Old Quarter, and a day on Ha Long Bay among its limestone islands. You land, settle in and spend the first evening at Hoan Kiem Lake and a water puppet show, then give a full day to the bay and a final day to the city's temples, French streets and markets. There are no domestic flights and no hotel changes, so four days of leave go to the two of you rather than to airports. At Rs 19,920 per person, it is our most affordable Vietnam honeymoon, and the day cruise can be swapped for a night on the bay if you want more time on the water.
Hanoi was founded as the royal capital, Thang Long, in 1010, and it shows. Narrow lanes still carry the names of the trades once sold on them, temples sit on lake islands, and the broad, tree-lined boulevards and grand state buildings of the French Quarter date from the colonial period. Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994, is about 2.5 to 3 hours away by expressway, which is why most short trips see it as a day cruise. Want something longer or a different route? Compare all our Vietnam honeymoon packages, or read our guide to a honeymoon in Vietnam before you decide.
The package starts at Rs 19,920 per person on twin sharing (was Rs 23,240), which is Rs 39,840 for the two of you, land package from Hanoi. TravelTriangle has served 3,354+ travellers for Vietnam through 650+ verified agents, and travellers rate our 40 Vietnam packages 4.5/5 across 196 reviews. Every day of this itinerary is customisable, you compare quotes from up to 3 agents before you pay, and you can pay in easy installments. Hotel cost may vary with your dates, so submit your details for the best rates.

Want the night on the water without building it yourself? Our 3 nights 4 days Vietnam package with a night on Ha Long Bay already includes an overnight cruise through Lan Ha Bay from Rs 21,840 per person, and the agents can add the honeymoon extras to it. Our Vietnam cruise packages have longer sailings.
3 Nights 4 Days Vietnam Honeymoon Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi: Arrival and Hoan Kiem Lake Tour
Your agent's driver meets you at Noi Bai International Airport, and the drive into Hanoi's Old Quarter takes 45 minutes to an hour. Lunch comes first, then you check in at the hotel on Hang Gai. Check-in is from 2 pm, so if your flight lands early in the morning, tell your agent and they will ask the hotel for an early room.
In the afternoon you walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, five minutes from the hotel. Cross the red Huc Bridge to Ngoc Son Temple, which sits on a small island in the lake and is at its quietest in the late afternoon. The statue of Emperor Ly Thai To, born Ly Cong Uan, who moved the capital of Vietnam to Hanoi in 1010, stands across the water in the park on the lake's east side. Explore the Old Quarter of the city by a green electric car or a cyclo, then catch the water puppet show at the Thang Long theatre on the lake's north-east corner. It lasts under an hour and acts out Vietnam's rice-farming myths and legends on water.
Dinner tonight is yours to choose. Ta Hien street fills with plastic stools after dark, and the lakeside rooftops face Ngoc Son as its lights come on. The hotel is a short walk back from either.
Included: lunch, transfers, sightseeing, water puppet show
Day 2: Hanoi: Ha Long Bay Day Cruise
Breakfast is at the hotel, and pickup is usually between 7:30 and 8 am. The expressway gets you to the Ha Long cruise harbour in about 2.5 to 3 hours, with a short rest stop on the way. Lunch is served as soon as you board, and seafood is the default. Ask for the vegetarian set when you book, and the kitchen will have it ready.
After lunch the boat threads between the limestone islands to Thien Cung Cave, one of the largest caves in the bay, where several chambers of stalactites and stalagmites are lit in colour. The way in is a steep flight of stone steps, so wear shoes with grip. More about the bay's grottoes is in our guide to the caves in Ha Long Bay.
The boat docks again in the afternoon. Dinner is on the way back, and you reach your Hanoi hotel by about 8 pm. If you choose the overnight cruise upgrade, today ends on board instead, with sunset on deck and dinner on the bay. You are back in Hanoi by early afternoon on Day 3, so the city tour shrinks to the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter, and the Mausoleum, which opens in the morning only, drops out.
Included: breakfast, lunch on board, dinner, return transfers, boat trip, cave entry, guide
Day 3: Hanoi: City Tour
After breakfast, the city tour starts at the Ho Chi Minh Complex, with the Mausoleum where Ho Chi Minh lies in state, the house on stilts where he lived his last years, his fish pond and the One Pillar Pagoda. The Mausoleum opens only in the morning, is closed on Mondays and Fridays and shuts for maintenance for several weeks each year. On those days you see the square, the Presidential Palace grounds and the pagoda instead. Cover shoulders and knees for the visit.
Next is the Temple of Literature, built in 1070, whose courtyards later housed Vietnam's first university. Lunch is at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, walk the French Quarter together and take photos at the Opera House, finished in 1911.
Later, shop in the Old Quarter, at Trang Tien Plaza or at Dong Xuan Market, the city's largest covered market. Hang Gai, right outside your hotel, is the street for silk scarves and made-to-measure clothes. Dinner is at a restaurant on the way back. If you have added a private dinner, ask the agent to set it for this evening in place of the set dinner.
Traffic fumes are heavy on Hanoi's main roads and the air is often hazy from November to March, so pack a mask if either of you is sensitive.
Included: breakfast, lunch, dinner, sightseeing with guide, entrance fees
Day 4: Hanoi: Departure to India
Breakfast is the last meal in the package, and checkout is at 12 noon. If your flight leaves late in the evening, ask for a late checkout when you book, or leave your bags at the front desk and spend the afternoon together.
Two easy ideas close to the hotel are an egg coffee at Cafe Giang on Nguyen Huu Huan, a ten-minute walk away, or a taxi to West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda, the city's oldest, about 15 minutes away. You will be picked up for a comfortable transfer to Noi Bai International Airport, timed to reach about three hours before an international departure. From there you fly home to India.
Included: breakfast, airport transfer
Hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter
Note: Our agents will provide you these or similar hotels depending on availability.
| Nights | Place | Stay |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 3 | Hanoi | Golden Silk Boutique Hotel, 109-111 Hang Gai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi (or similar) |
Golden Silk sits on Hang Gai, five minutes on foot from Hoan Kiem Lake, so the lake at night, the weekend walking street and the Old Quarter's cafes are all on your doorstep without a taxi. Ask for a double bed and a room with a window when you book, because some Old Quarter rooms face an inside wall. A different hotel can be quoted on request.
Inclusions and Exclusions

Vietnam Honeymoon Package Price and Cost for Two from India
A 3 nights 4 days Vietnam honeymoon costs a couple about Rs 91,000 to Rs 1,29,000 from India with flights. The land package is the fixed part at Rs 39,840 for two. Your departure city and month move the rest.
| Cost item | For two people |
|---|---|
| This package (3N/4D land, twin sharing, 2 × Rs 19,920) | Rs 39,840 |
| Return flights to Hanoi from Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata | Rs 36,000 to Rs 70,000 |
| Two Vietnam e-visas (US$25 each) | About Rs 4,400 |
| GST at 5% on the package | Rs 1,992 |
| TCS at 2% (adjustable against your income tax) | About Rs 837 |
| Meals not included, tips, drinks, a coffee or two | Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 |
| Estimated total for the couple | About Rs 91,000 to Rs 1,29,000 |
Fares climb from mid-December through New Year and again around Tet, so October, November, March and April trips land at the lower end. A bowl of pho in the Old Quarter costs about 50,000 to 70,000 dong, roughly Rs 170 to Rs 240, so the meals that are not included stay cheap. Flying from Delhi? Which 4-Day Vietnam Honeymoon Route Suits You?
Hanoi and Ha Long is the right 4-day route if you want a city, its food and the bay in one trip without a domestic flight. Vietnam has two other short-honeymoon pairings, and they peak in different months.
| Route | What it feels like | Best months | Catch on a 4-day trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hanoi and Ha Long Bay (this package) | Old Quarter lanes, lake evenings, a cruise among limestone islands | Oct to Dec, Mar to Apr | Ha Long is a long day out unless you sleep on board |
| Da Nang and Hoi An | Beach hotel plus the lantern-lit old town of Hoi An | Feb to Aug | Heavy rain from Oct to Dec |
| Phu Quoc | Island resort, sunsets, cable car to the southern islands | Nov to Apr | Little to do beyond the beach |

Visa, Flights and Arrival for Indian Couples
Indian passport holders apply for a Vietnam e-visa online at evisa.gov.vn before flying. A single-entry e-visa costs US$25, can be valid for up to 90 days and takes about 3 working days, so apply a week or more ahead. Each of you needs a passport valid for six months, a passport photo and the hotel address on Hang Gai. Our Vietnam visa guide for Indians walks through each screen.
Non-stop flights reach Hanoi from Delhi, Mumbai (about 4 hours 15 minutes) and Kolkata (about 2 hours 45 minutes). Vietnam is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of India. Vietnam has also begun asking arriving passengers to fill a free online Digital Arrival Card at some airports and is extending it to more, so check the rule for Noi Bai a few days before you fly. Buy a local SIM at arrivals and change some US dollars in the Old Quarter, where the rates beat Indian airports.
Best Time for a Hanoi and Ha Long Honeymoon
October to December and March to April are the best months for this trip. Hanoi has four real seasons, so your month decides whether Ha Long looks like the postcard or disappears into mist.
| Months | Hanoi | Ha Long Bay | For a honeymoon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct to Dec | Dry, 18°C to 28°C | Mostly dry, good visibility, calm water by November | Best. Book early for late December |
| Jan to Feb | Cool, 14°C to 20°C, drizzle | Often misty | Cosy and quiet. Tet (6 Feb 2027) raises prices and shuts shops |
| Mar to Apr | Mild, 20°C to 28°C | Some morning haze | Very good, and fewer crowds |
| May to Jun | Hot and humid, 30°C to 35°C | Sails normally | Fine if you handle heat |
| Jul to Sep | Hot, heavy showers | Storm season, sailings stop on warnings | Avoid if your dates are fixed |

Vegetarian, Jain and Indian Food on This Trip
Vegetarian food on this trip works if you ask for it when you book. The Ha Long day boat serves seafood by default, so the agent orders a vegetarian set of tofu, spring rolls, stir-fried greens, soup and rice for you in advance. Jain meals are possible with clear notice, because fish sauce goes into many Vietnamese dishes, including some that look vegetarian. One of our past travellers on a Hanoi trip said vegetarian food was the one thing to improve, so say it twice. In Hanoi, several Indian restaurants are a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, which helps on your free Day 1 evening. If you eat everything, try pho, banh mi, bun cha and cha ca, Hanoi's turmeric fish with dill.
Booking and Payment
You pay a booking amount to confirm the trip and the rest in easy installments, as guided by your travel agent. Before you pay anything, you see quotes from up to 3 verified agents and can change the hotel, upgrade to the overnight cruise, add honeymoon extras or add flights. If a storm warning stops Ha Long sailings on Day 2, ask how it is handled, usually a move to Day 3 or a Ninh Binh day trip instead.
