The steep upper level (Bakan) is closed to children under 12. Late in the afternoon, you climb Phnom Bakheng, one of the earliest temple-mountains at Angkor, built around 900 AD and best known for its sunset view. Entry to the summit is capped at 300 visitors at a time, so arrive by 4:30 PM. Children under 12 are usually not allowed up the steep summit stairs, so younger ones watch the sunset from the terrace below with a parent. As dusk falls, relish the buffet dinner with a traditional show. After dinner, you can explore the night market in Siem Reap or enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel. Day 6: Siem Reap: Lake Tour and Departure
