Who This 5-Day Bali Trip Suits
It works best for a first trip abroad. One hotel for all four nights means no 6 am checkouts, the flights are already sorted, and the driver handles every transfer. Couples like the Uluwatu sunset and the quiet Nusa Dua beach. Families with children of about 6 and older manage the days well, though Day 4 is long, so keep snacks in the car. Honeymooners who want a private pool villa or a candlelight dinner built in should look at our Bali honeymoon packages. If you only need the land part and will book your own flights, the 5-day Bali trip without flights starts at Rs 27,999, and the Bali budget trip starts at Rs 21,000.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bali and Nusa Dua
Your flight from India lands at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar (DPS). A professional guide will meet you outside arrivals and drive you to the Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua, about 25 minutes away on the Bali Mandara toll road over the bay. Check in, freshen up and spend the afternoon on Nusa Dua beach, where the outer reef keeps the water calm enough for an easy swim. If you have energy left, Seminyak is about 50 minutes north for a beach club sunset, and a traditional Balinese massage is the quickest cure for a long flight (both paid at your own cost). Overnight in Nusa Dua.
Day 2: Sanur Beach and Uluwatu Temple Sunset
Start your second day with breakfast at the hotel and a 30-minute drive to Sanur, the old fishing town on the east coast. Walk the paved beach path past the painted jukung outrigger boats, watch the fishermen bring in the morning catch, and try fresh seafood at one of the small warungs along the sand. After a slow midday back at the hotel, drive about 40 minutes to Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff 70 metres above the Indian Ocean and one of the six key temples of Bali. Reach by 5 pm to walk the cliff path before sunset, and keep sunglasses and phones in your bag because the temple monkeys snatch them. At about 6 pm the Kecak fire dance starts in the open-air amphitheatre, where a circle of more than fifty men chants while dancers act out the Ramayana against the orange sky (ticket bought at the gate). On the way back you can stop for a seafood dinner on Jimbaran beach. Overnight in Nusa Dua.
Day 3: Kintamani, Tegallalang and Ubud Monkey Forest
Day three is for Bali's volcanic heartland. After breakfast, drive about two hours north to the Kintamani ridge for the view across Mount Batur, an active volcano of 1,717 metres, and the crater lake below it. The view is clearest before the late-morning cloud rolls in, so the driver leaves early. If you want to climb Batur for sunrise instead, pickup from Nusa Dua is around 1:30 am, the climb takes about two hours in the dark, and you meet the tour at Kintamani for breakfast with the view (paid option, average fitness and good shoes needed). On the way down, stop at the Tegallalang rice terraces, carved into a steep valley and still watered by the old subak canal system. End the day at the Ubud Monkey Forest, a temple forest home to more than a thousand long-tailed macaques, then walk 10 minutes up Monkey Forest Road to Ubud Palace and the Ubud Art Market if time allows. Drive back to Nusa Dua, about 90 minutes. Overnight in Nusa Dua.
Day 4: Lake Bratan Boat Ride and Pura Besakih
Today is the longest day, about 10 to 11 hours with close to seven of them on the road, so leave by 7 am right after an early breakfast. Drive up into the cool Bedugul highlands to Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, the temple that seems to float on Lake Bratan at about 1,200 metres. Take a boat ride across the lake and look out for kingfishers along the reed banks. Then drive east, about two and a half hours, to Pura Besakih, the mother temple of Bali. It is a complex of twenty-three temples climbing the slopes of Mount Agung, which at about 3,031 metres is the island's highest volcano and fills the sky behind the main gate on a clear afternoon. A sarong and sash come with the entry ticket, and any temple guide should be arranged at the official ticket office, so politely turn down the guides who approach you at the car park. If you would rather have a shorter day, ask the agents to swap Besakih for the Tanah Lot sea temple at sunset, which is on the same western side as Bedugul. Overnight in Nusa Dua.
Day 5: Departure for India
On the last morning there is time for breakfast and a final swim. Standard checkout is at noon, and reception can hold your bags if your flight leaves later. A professional guide will transfer you to Ngurah Rai Airport for your flight back to India. Reach the airport three hours before departure, as international check-in at Denpasar gets slow in the evening.
Hotel
Our agents will provide you this or a similar hotel, depending on availability on your dates.
| Nights | Base | Hotel | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 4 (4 nights) | Nusa Dua | Grand Hyatt Bali, Kawasan Wisata Nusa Dua | 5-star beachfront resort inside the gated Nusa Dua complex, about 25 minutes from the airport. Pools, several restaurants with vegetarian options, kids' club |
Want a 4-star hotel to lower the price, or a pool villa for the last two nights? Ask for it in your quote request and the agents will price it night by night.

Flights to Bali from Your City
Your quote will name the exact flight, but this is how the main Indian cities connect to Denpasar (DPS) in the 2026 to 2027 season. Air India flies non-stop from Delhi five days a week and IndiGo flies non-stop daily from Bengaluru. IndiGo's Delhi flight stops at Bhubaneswar and its Mumbai flight stops at Chennai, and both are planned to switch to non-stop on 1 January 2027. Most other cities connect through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok.

| Mumbai | IndiGo direct with a short Chennai stop, or 1-stop via Singapore or Kuala Lumpur | About 9 to 12 h | Bali packages from Mumbai |

Before You Go: Practical Notes for Indian Travellers
Indian passport holders need a visa for Bali, but you do not have to apply in advance. Take the Visa on Arrival at the airport, or buy the same visa online as an e-VOA on the Indonesian immigration site before you fly and skip the counter queue. It costs IDR 500,000, is valid for 30 days and can be extended once. Your passport needs at least six months of validity and a return ticket, which this package gives you. Full details are in our Bali visa guide for Indians.
Every foreign visitor also pays the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000. Pay it on the Love Bali website or app and keep the QR code on your phone, since it can be checked at the airport and at major sights.
Indonesia uses the rupiah, and Rs 1 buys roughly 185 to 195 rupiah. Cards work in hotels and malls, but carry cash for markets, warungs and temple donations, and change money at authorised changers rather than the airport counters. Plugs are the two round-pin type at 230 volts, so most Indian chargers fit.
Vegetarian food is easy to find. The hotel breakfast has plenty of options, Indian restaurants operate in Nusa Dua, Kuta, Seminyak and Ubud, and Balinese dishes such as gado-gado and tempeh are vegetarian by default. Tell the agent if you need Jain meals so the driver can plan lunch stops. For the local food, see our guide to Balinese cuisine.
April to October is the dry season and the best time for this trip, with clear mornings at Kintamani and calm water at Nusa Dua. November to March brings afternoon rain but lower hotel rates. Flights from India cost the most in late December, May and June, and around Diwali. Bali shuts down for 24 hours on Nyepi, the Day of Silence in March, when the airport closes, so check the date before you book. Month-by-month details are in our best time to visit Bali guide.
Travel insurance with medical and trip-cancellation cover is worth buying for any trip abroad, and it costs a few hundred rupees for five days. Grab and Gojek apps work across south Bali for short rides on your free evenings.
Payment
You pay nothing to request quotes. Once you pick the agent you like, you confirm the trip with an advance and pay the balance before departure, and the booking can be paid in easy instalments.
Planned and Checked by Our Bali Team
"Do Uluwatu on a day you are not changing hotels and leave Nusa Dua by 4 pm. The road onto the Bukit jams before sunset and people miss the start of the Kecak."
Visa and levy figures on this page were checked against the Indonesian immigration and Love Bali portals in October 2026.
