- Kite Festival in Jodhpur: The Jodhpur International Desert Kite Festival, a three-day festival is celebrated during Makar Sankranti. It is one of the most colorful festivals of the city, where people fly colorful kites from their rooftops. This is celebrated on 14th January every year. On the day of this festival, people take a hold dip in Galtaji, a significant pilgrimage located in Jaipur. They pray to the sun god for their wellbeing.
- Gangaur Festival in Jaipur: This is an important festival among the locals of Rajasthan. This festival is celebrated in the memory of Goddess Gauri or Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. This is basically a festival celebrated by the women of the community. The unmarried women follow the rituals so that they are blessed with a good husband. The married women take part in this festival for the well-being of their husbands and family. This festival is celebrated for eighteen days. The various other attractions of this festival are elephant processions, chariots, old palanquins, folk song, and dance.
