Kerala Honeymoon Packages

Just tied the knot and searching for the perfect place to celebrate your new life together? Kerala is where romance meets nature. With misty hills in Munnar, the calm backwaters of Alleppey, golden beaches in Kovalam, and rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapies, Kerala sets the stage for unforgettable memories.
From sharing quiet moments on a houseboat to watching sunsets hand-in-hand, every corner of this state has something magical for couples. More than just a trip, a Kerala honeymoon is the start of your forever story.

Why Kerala is the Perfect Honeymoon Destination

Kerala offers nature, peace, and romance, all in one place. Here is how:

  • Houseboats & Backwaters: Glide through still waters in a private houseboat in Alleppey or Kumarakom. You can sleep on water, eat freshly made food, and wake up to birds and waves.
  • Misty Tea Gardens: Walk hand-in-hand through endless green tea gardens in Munnar. It's like stepping into a fairy tale.
  • Golden Beaches: Watch the sun dip into the sea at Kovalam or Varkala. It is beautiful, clean, and perfect for romantic evenings.
  • Ayurvedic Spa: Kerala is renowned for its spa therapies, particularly those designed for couples. You can relax your body and soul together.

Best Time to Visit Kerala for Honeymoon

The best time to visit Kerala for a honeymoon is between September and March. This is the winter season, characterised by pleasant weather, lower humidity, and clear skies. The temperature during this time is between 27°C to 32°C. You can also consider some other weather to enjoy your honeymoon.

  • Summer Season (March to May): These are among the hottest months of Kerala, with high temperatures. However, some tourists may prefer to visit during this time, as it is the off-season, offering huge discounts and traditional festivals.
  • Monsoon Season: Although lush, this time of year is marked by heavy rainfall, which can limit outdoor activities. However, some may prefer the unique experience of the thriving, green landscape and constant drizzle.

Top Romantic Honeymoon Destinations in Kerala

2. Alleppey

Alleppey is often called the heart of romance in Kerala, perfect for couples who crave privacy, peace, and natural beauty. Kerala vs Other Honeymoon Destinations

Kerala offers the romance of the Maldives, the beaches of Goa, and the calm of the mountains-all in one trip. And it’s more budget-friendly and diverse. In short: Kerala = Maldives’ romance + Goa’s beaches + Himachal’s hills — at a better price.

Kerala vs Maldives (budget & experiences):

If you are on a budget and want to enjoy a diverse range of experiences, including hills, houseboats, and beaches, then Kerala is your perfect choice. The Maldives is also gorgeous, but prices are a bit higher, and you will relax in one spot.

Kerala vs Andaman (beaches & activities):

If you love marine adventures and underwater sports, the Andaman Islands are ideal for you. However, to experience more peaceful beaches, easy travel, diverse culture, and romantic nights, Kerala offers a variety.

Kerala vs Himachal/Goa (hill stations vs beaches):

Kerala is a unique blend of hills, beaches, and backwaters all within a single state. Goa is fun and youthful, while Himachal is the choice of mountain lovers. However, for those seeking romance, comfort, and culture, Kerala is the ideal destination.

Munnar vs Alleppey – where should couples stay?

Munnar is ideal for mountain enthusiasts and those seeking tranquillity. Alleppey is a must for every couple who dreams of floating love stories on a houseboat. You can choose both if time allows, like 2 nights in Munnar and 1 night in Alleppey.

Kerala vs Kashmir

Kerala is Stunning for couples who dream of snow-capped mountains, shikara rides on Dal Lake, and chilly romantic weather. However, Kerala offers a more tropical, green romance, like lush tea gardens, serene backwaters, and golden beaches. While Kashmir is perfect for a white, wintry honeymoon, Kerala gives you year-round versatility with a mix of hill stations and coastal charm.

Real Honeymoon Stories from TravelTriangle Customers

Sameer & Ananya – Beach Honeymoon in Kovalam “Our honeymoon was planned around beaches because both Ananya and I love the sea. Kovalam was our top choice – we wanted those golden sunsets, lazy beach walks, and a little adventure with water sports. But things didn’t start smoothly. Our flight got delayed, and we lost almost a full day. At first, we were really upset, thinking we’d miss out on the beach time we had been dreaming about. Luckily, our TravelTriangle agent came to the rescue. They quickly shifted our itinerary and adjusted the plan so we could still cover all the highlights without feeling rushed. In the end, we got everything we wanted – the sunsets, the waves, and even parasailing. This experience taught us one big thing – always keep your honeymoon plan flexible. Little delays or changes can happen, but with the right help, it doesn’t have to spoil the trip. Kovalam gave us the beach honeymoon we had imagined, and more.”

My trip was kerala was arranged by Namaskaram travels. My agent Sunny was very helpful throughout the trip. However I had some bad experience through the trip. The hotel in Munnar, Grand Valley, which was given to me in a 4 star package package was not of the standard for a 4-star. The location of the hotel was 100-150 m steep down the road, which could only be reached through hotel jeep, our traveller stayed out. A good hotel but not a 4 star. The next day, my traveller broke down on our way to Thekkady and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere for a couple of hours. The agency arranged for another traveller which covered our itenary for that day and dropped us to our hotel, Woodnote, which was the best in our trip. Local arrangements were made for our siteseeing in Thekkady, which were also good. Finally, a new traveller was assigned to us for our remaining trip, with with we covered Allepy and our drop to Kochi. Overall: Traveller Experience: 2/10 Grand Valley View, Munnar: 4/10 Woodnote, Thekkady: 10/10 Time Square, Allepy: 7/10 Agent Communication: 10/10 Travel Triangle Communication: 10/10

I and my wife love to travel and explore new places but before planning a trip I do my homework very well. This time we chose to explore Kerala and started looking for packages when we landed upon TravelTriangle. They let us customize our package according to our budget which was the best part of the team. On our way to Munnar, we explored the famous Valara Waterfalls, well-manicured Spice Garden, Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Dam. Apart from this, we spent a lovely time at the Lockhart Tea Museum, Periyar Jungle and decided to watch a kalaripayattu and kathakali show. When in Alleppey, one of the must-to-do things is to travel in a houseboat. We spent an amazing time watching the sunset and then experienced a romantic candle-lit dinner along with an exquisite honeymoon cake. Come Back For: Periyar Jungle Walk and wanted to explore more in Kochi.

Personally, I love to travel, explore new places and do photography. However, this time I was planning a honeymoon trip with my wife. I chose Kerala, God’s Own Country, for our romantic getaway and started exploring for packages when I saw an ad from TT. Their customized packages made us not think again and we booked our package. Exploring Munnar, Alleppey and Thekkady was the best part of my life. By spending out quality time amidst the lush greenery and greenish-blue backwaters, we rejuvenated ourselves. The most awaited part of our trip was the houseboat ride in Alleppey where we spent the most romantic time by whispering sweet nothings to each other. I thank the team of TravelTriangle for customizing such a beautiful trip for us.

3. Vishu Aggarwal: Exploring Kerala Was One Of The Best Moments Of Our Lives!

Duration: 5D/4N

Accommodation: Hotel

Experiences: The wildlife safari at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary turned out to be our favourite one on the whole trip.

Come Back For: Missed the chance of dinner and night stay on the houseboat

My honeymoon trip to Kerala was the most amazing excursion in my life and I can't thank my friend enough for recommending TT to me. We booked our package and started our trip with Kochi. I was not aware of the fact that there was so much to explore in Kerala. We went to St. Francis Church, the Old Harbour Fort, Rose Garden and enjoyed a thrilling jet ride in the backwaters of the Marine Drive. Our next place to explore was Munnar, also known as the Kashmir of South India, which has an expanse of tea plantations. Therefore, we headed towards spice plantations where the aroma compelled us to buy some unique and authentic spices. On the next day, we explored more of Munnar and later on continued towards Thekkady. The best part was the houseboat stay in Alleppey where we witnessed enthralling views of the backwaters. I think we have used our days to the fullest and explored as much as we could in these five days only because of TravelTriangle.

So, these travelogues give a brief summary about Kerala tour packages for couples that these people chose for. You can read their detailed account by clicking on the links provided above the image.
