Himachal Trekking Package

If we talk of trekking destinations in the Indian subcontinent, Himachal seems to be the top favorite. It offers varied landscapes right from lush green meadows, serene valleys to glaciers and snow-capped ranges.
It is this diversity that attracts trekkers. The diversity of exotic flora and fauna and aesthetic landscapes make this destination one of the top-notch destinations in India.

Why go Trekking in Himachal Pradesh?

Our Himachal trekking tour packages allow you the chance to embark on this adventurous journey.

Experience the stunning sunset and also enjoy camping experience while going on a trekking tour. Or venture into the adrenaline pumping journey of a winter trek battling through snow-covered slopes. Himachal has something to offer to everyone, and our Himachal trekking packages will help you find just the right fit for you.

Which are the most ideal treks to take in Himachal?

  • Hampta Pass Trek: It is one of the most famous treks because of its captivating beauty along with sudden changes in scenery. One moment you will see semi-barren lands, while the next campsite will take you to lush green meadows. It also passes through the tranquil Chandratal Lake. One can expect to cross streams and slide down mountain slopes.
  • Malana Village Trek: This trek starts from Kasol. What makes this trek unique among all the others is the mystery of the village itself. The residents of the village claim to be descendants of Alexander the great and have strict rules for outsiders entering the village. They are far removed from urbanization and have preserved their rich culture. This mystique adds to the beauty of this trek.
  • Deo Tibba Trek: Starting in Manali, this trek will take you across ever changing landscapes with diverse flora and fauna to view the majestic Deo Tibba and Indrasen peaks and the glaciers of Jagatsukh and Deo Tibba.
  • Beas Kund Trek: This trek can be enjoyed by every age group. The trail passes through the alluring Solang Valley, snow-covered mountains, lush meadows, and glaciers. The trail also enters the Beas Kund glacier, which is the origin of the river Beas.
  • Triund Trek: Another favorite trek for novices is the Triund trek near Dharamshala. Although it is a relatively short trek, it is considered to be one of the most scenic treks with astonishingly beautiful views of the Kangra valley. It is often planned as a weekend trek with the evening sun offering a stunning view before pitching tents for the night.

What is the best time to trek in Himachal Pradesh?

The best time to visit is spring, particularly late March to May. Most of the treks take place during this season. However, there are also a number of winter treks which take place between the months of October to December. However, the temperature falls extremely low during this period and one can expect snowfall, sometimes quite heavy.

How to reach the trekking locations?

  • The base camps for the treks are usually places like Kullu, Manali or nearby areas.
  • The most convenient way to reach these places is taking the overnight bus from cities like Delhi or Chandigarh. These buses include private operators and buses by HRTC and are frequent enough.
  • Thus, one can take a flight or a bus to these cities from one’s hometown and an overnight bus onwards.
  • Alternatively, one can also fly directly to the Kullu Manali Airport. Air India offers flights to Kullu Manali airport from cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, etc. Flights along this route, however, tend to be more expensive.

Narun's 5 days trip to Himachal

Pros: 1. The cost was well worth it. 2. Agent Sahil was incredibly friendly and responsive, even calling twice during the entire five-day journey just to know how it's going. 3. Driver Jitendra was excellent. He maintained a safe speed limit and was considerate, not bothering us by calling or urging
us to visit places urgently. The itinerary was planned according to time, and he didn’t constantly nag us to return. Cons: 1. Grace Spa and Resort was good, but by seeing online, I had asked for the same 4-star resort, which was supposed to have Billiards, Spa, and indoor games. But they said the billiards table has broken, and the spa will start soon. They had only carrom for now. Worst: In other places, we had good interactions for activities, but in Solang Valley “Shop No 18”, we had the worst experience. where we paid for required Snow activities, and rented clothes, shoes, etc. The shopkeeper said the photographer's cost would be separate, which was normal. After crossing Atul Tunnel, we reached the activities spot, and the photographer who was linked to shop no 18 came and said per photo so and so, and I specifically asked if there was any minimum photo or if we could select whichever is good. He said minimum is 30 photos per 40rs for which we agreed later the activities started, we enjoying and finally, he said 178 is there out of which some will be continues like burst photos and same poses 5-7 for that he said buy all the photos and pay 6k. We were not ok, and after a lot of arguing, we started selecting photos as most of them were out of focus, a few were burst pics. Once selecting it came down to 52 photos and 10 Videos. Now he started raising his voice, saying 52 is too low, and for videos we should pay 500/video. So, for 10-15 sec videos only, it was going to 5k. We said it more than the activities themselves, for he arrogantly said I am not giving a single video for you and deleted the video in front of me, and went off. Later Driver talked to the shop owner for long hours and asked for 52 photos. But the owner is on another level, he is saying pay first, and later will think of sending photos. I was already scammed, so I said that once I received the photos either to my phone or the driver’s phone, I wouldn’t pay. As I will be with the driver for another 2 more days. Finally, around 8 pm, after wasting more than 4 hours, he finally sent. Worst experience that day. Did not get a single video and paid for 52 photos, whatever the cost, the shop owner said. Please avoid Shop No 18. Being a tourist, we should feel safe and trusted at places, but this kind of experience on my birthday remains a bad memory in my mind for a long time.
