The much-anticipated Mardi Gras ship is currently being built in a shipyard in Turku, Finland. The ship is set to launch in 2021 and set sail from the famous Port Canaveral, Florida. Now, what’s special about Mardi Gras is that there is an in-built roller coaster built in the ship itself. Titled as BOLT, this is the first ever roller coaster at sea where you will not just enjoy a luxurious cruise but also a blast in the rides.

Just talking isn’t going to do anything! What matters are the preview details provided by Carnival Cruise Line. So, here are a few electrifying details about Bolt, the first ever roller coaster at sea and why it is an ultimate fun machine:

  • The coaster loop is a simple track with a helix at one end
  • What’s special about this is that passengers will be able to control the ride – so how about a sea drive?
  • The motorcycle-style speed machine can go upto 40 miles per hour
  • The total length of the track is about 800 feet
  • The ride itself is installed at about 180 feet above the water line
  • Speakers will be installed with sound effects
  • Built-in cameras will capture the action in real-time

The ship would also introduce new zones including 6 themed areas full of brand-new experiences for drinking,eating, and having fun. There will be new bars like The Brass Magnolia and Fortune Teller and Emeril’s Bistro 1396 which are all the more reasons to take a cruise with the Mardi Gras in 2021.
