By Rail
The nearest railway station to Hogenakkal is Dharmapuri whose railway services are well-connected to cities like Bangalore and Chennai. The journey to Dharmapuri from Bangalore approximately takes 3 hours and from Chennai about 8 hours. The falls are 47 km away from the station, you can always take a cab or a bus to help you reach your destination.
By Road
You can always take a road trip to Dharmapuri. The closest cities from where you can begin your journey are Bangalore and Chennai. If you wish to travel from Bangalore then you must take the Dharmapuri-Bangalore Road which will be around 138 km. Chennai is at a distance of 300 km via the NH48. You can travel via road from Dharmapuri to Hogenakkal or even Salem. Some buses frequently commute from these places. The bus from Dharmapuri takes the Dharmapuri-Hogenakkal Road and it is a 46.2 km long journey. Salem is about 88.5 km away which can be covered via the Omalur-Mecheri-Pennagaram road.
