Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Route
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is divided into four sections. It originates from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Akshardham in Delhi and extends through Shastri Park, Khajuri Khas, EPE interchange at Khekra in Mandola, Baghpat, Shamli, Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, and finally reaches Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

Delhi-Dehradun Toll-Free Access
One of the most notable features of the expressway is its toll-free access for the first 18 km stretch from Akshardham Temple to Loni. This initiative is aimed towards providing a seamless commuting experience for travellers.
Opened Section
The newly opened 3.5 km stretch between Daat Kali and Asharodi is now fully operational. Initially, only three lanes of this expressway were accessible. However, with all six lanes open, travel between Delhi and Dehradun is set to become smoother and more efficient.
The expressway, spanning 31.6 km, has been designed with several infrastructural enhancements to ensure road safety and reduce congestion. It includes seven underpasses, two railway over bridges, and 54 junctions, comprising of 17 major and 37 minor junctions.

Pedestrian Safety Measures
To ensure the safety of not just drivers but also pedestrians, the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has several safety measures set in place to enhance pedestrian safety. In particular, there are several foot-over bridges installed at various points to facilitate safe crossings for students and pedestrians without disrupting vehicular traffic or compromising with safety. Additionally, the expressway also features two elevated sections, each spanning 200 meters. These sections aim to enhance connectivity and reduce potential travel disruptions.
