2. Koilkonda Fort

Jurala Dam is a hydroelectric project on the Krishna River located at a distance of 77 km from Mahabubnagar Bus Station. Also known as the Indira Priyadarshini Project, this dam was inaugurated in 1995. It is a source of power generation and irrigation in the area. 4. Gadwal Fort

Gadwal is a beautiful temple town located around 63 km from Mahbubnagar and famous for handloom sarees and its 17th-century fort. The Gadwal Fort is also known as the “Nalla Kotta”, which means the “Black Fort”, as it is made of black stone. At the fort, you would find a vast cannon. This cannon is 32 feet long and is known to be one of the largest in Asia.
