Located in the Prakasam region of the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, Bhairavakona is a sacred site in the centre of the Nallamala Hills. This location is famous for its eight distinct Shiva cave temples, which date to the seventh or eighth century CE. Some of the rock-cut temples in Mahabalipuram bear a striking resemblance to the rock-cut cave temples found here. Every temple displays the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Situated in the Shaivism religion, the Bhairavakona rock-cut cave temples are significant historical sites. They are chiselled from a single rock on the slopes of Nallamala. These hills form a portion of the Eastern Ghats, which stretch north-south close to the Vijayanagara Empire ruins in Andhra Pradesh’s Udayagiri. This location has a magnificent ambience and natural waterfalls.

The place where the village is based is the site where, according to the Shiva Purana, Shiva vanquished the Tripurasuras or the demons in charge of three towns. 5. Kanigiri Fort
Kanigiri Fort is a well-preserved heritage site and one of the popular Praksam tourist places. The hill on which the fort is constructed is encircled by dense forests. Situated atop a roughly 400-foot hill, the Kanigiri fort is shielded on three sides by an almost vertical cliff. On the other side, a steep incline is defended by reconstructed ramparts at every conceivable angle.
Two additional defensive walls, one beginning in the hills and joining the southern wing of the fort wall, split the interior into three enclosures. In all cases, gateways follow these two walls. As a whole, the fort is climbed from the settlement towards the north and east. The remnants of the fort at the hill started after travelling roughly 0.5 miles east. At this point, the path bends southward, and a little entrance made of crooked and uneven boulders is visible. The trail through the brush leads to a hill with left and right turns. The fact that there is no proof of bastions on this historic Kanigiri hill is a striking feature that draws visitors’ attention to this fort. A semi-circular structure from the fort extends approximately 180 metres to the south of the western gate. The defensive wall curves southward at this location. Over the native rock, there lies a noticeable thick layer of morrow. The fortress wall here is 4.50 metres wide.
