Located about 40 minutes from the Shamirpet lake, Keesaragutta is a beautiful hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is also known as Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple and is called Keesaragutta due to its location. it is an ancient temple dating back to the 4th-5th century. The Shiva linga installed in the main sanctum sanctorum is believed to be the manifestation of lord shiva himself due to a legend that says it was Lord Rama who established this temple and Lord Shiva himself came to grace it. One unique feature of this temple is the presence of 12 idols of Jain Tirthankaras, which also hint at the rich historical background of this temple. The site is popular among archaeologists as it is believed that this temple used to serve as a gatika or an educational institution. The architecture blends Persian and Indian styles. Scenic hills and greenery surround it. You can also visit the museum, which is close to the temple.

Dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, the Ratnalayam Temple is a modern temple originally constructed for family worship and then opened for the public later. It is located only 3 minutes away from the Shamirpet Lake. The traditional Dravidian architecture using white stone is quite impressive.
