Weather In Kathmandu In June

The weather in June was pretty nice. Though it was windy in Kathmandu and it rained almost everyday, we didn’t mind. Nagarkot was amazing since it was nestled amidst the mountains. We sat on the upper Deck in the evenings to enjoy salubrious weather and breathtaking views of the valley. It was a tonic to our eyes.

Best Experiences On Trip To Kathmandu

Here are the most memorable experiences we had on our trip to Kathmandu. I suggest you to include these experiences to your itinerary for a fun holiday with friends.

1. Casinos

relaxing on couch in hotel
having fun at night
excited to explore the Nepal

Casinos was our ultimate why we took an all boys trip to Kathmandu. My friends and I enjoy gambling. So, we thought of testing out luck at the casino in the hotel we were staying in Kathmandu. It was a wonderful experience as one does not have back in India. We also enjoy a buffet dinner at the casino. It was truly a gala. And, my friends owe me a lot of money. Lol!

2. Pashupatinath Temple

visited to Pashupatinath Temple
exploring the places in Nepal

Our visit to Pashupatinath Temple on one of the 6 days in Kathmandu was truly serene. Being in the premises puts you at peace and at the same time make you ponder about the circle of life. The temple holds an important place in the lives of Hindus. People come to cremate their loved ones at this temple. It is believed that if the body is given a bath in the river and then cremated, it is released from the cycle of reincarnation and attains moksha.

3. Mount Everest Helicopter Tour

an amazing experience of Mount Everest
a wonderful experience in Nepal

We had an amazing experience on the last day of the trip where we took mountain flight to Mount Everest. It feels still fresh in our minds while writing as if we were there yesterday. It’s a 40 minutes flight where they take you around Mount Everest and other peaks. I can’t even begin to describe how surreal was the view from the top. It was like a dream come true.

Accommodation In Kathmandu

In Nagarkot, we stayed in Club Himalaya which I feel was one of the best properties during our 6 days in Kathmandu in terms of the interiors. The lobby of the hotel was unique in every sense. The hotel had a swimming with a Jacuzzi in the middle of it. The upper deck offered lush views of the valley which was serene to look at. Nagarkot is a 2 hour drive from Tribhuvan Airport Kathmandu. The only hiccup was the road as it was not so good.

In Kathmandu, we stayed at the Hotel Shangri La. It’s a huge property with all the modern amenities like spa, swimming pool etc. It is nicely situated in the CBD. It also had a 24*7 casino inside the hotel premises. The rooms were very cozy and spacious with a mini bar and a flat screen tv.

Food In Kathmandu

During 6 days in Kathmandu, we ate most of the time either in the hotel where we were staying or at the casinos. They don’t charge for food and beverages in the casinos. The food at the casino was served in a buffet system which was good.
