Spread across Sagar, Damoh, and Narsinghpur districts of Madhya Pradesh, Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve is the prominent tourist attraction to visit.. The sanctuary is spread across an expansive area of 2,339 square kilometres, extending from areas within the Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary till Durgavati Wildlife Sanctuary. The diverse landscapes around the sanctuary makes it one of the top tourist places in Madhya Pradesh which includes hills, valleys, rivers, streams, waterfalls, and grasslands.

The fort is believed to have been built by the Paramaras in the 10th century. It was later renovated by the Bundela kings. Situated on a hilltop, this fort offers a panoramic view of the surrounding areas of Sagar. One of the major attractions in this fort is its six-layered wall that is surrounding the fort which was thoughtfully designed to protect the defence from enemy attacks. The fort is noteworthy for its intricate carvings, beautiful arches, and intricate designs. Inside the fort, there are also several temples, the most famous being the Shiva temple.

3. The Royal Chhatris Of Orchha

The Royal Chhatris of Orchha are the testimonies to the mighty Bundelas, featuring conical peaks situated by the banks of Betwa River. These are basically 14 funeral monuments that were built in the memory of the Kings of Bundelkhand. These cenotaphs or as called Chhatris by the locals, have a unique design. They are built in the shape of tall, square buildings on top of the raised platforms along with a domed pavilion on top called Chhatri. These structures are not burial grounds as Egyptians used to do in their pyramids, the cenotaphs are just empty structures.

Though Atal Park remains open for visitors throughout the year, the best time to visit this adventure park in Sagar would be in the winter season between October and April.
The summers tend to get hot and humid with temperature reaching to 45 degrees on some days. Hence, summer is not at all an ideal time to visit Atal Park in Sagar. On the other hand, winters in Sagar remain pleasant and not very cold with average temperature at 20 degrees, making it comfortable for visitors to enjoy their visit to Atal Park. Even the monsoon season is not an ideal time to visit Sagar as it showers quite a lot here from July to September and heavy rains can ruin your travel plans.

Atal Park is located in the centre of the Sagar city which is well connected with all parts of India. Atal Park in Sagar is very close to Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. You can easily reach Atal Park in Sagar from Bhopal via road. Bhopal is only 170 km away from Sagar and there are many bus services operational between the two cities.
Another option to reach Atal Park in Sagar is by train and the nearest railway station to Atal Park in Sagar is Sougar Railway Station which is well connected with other cities of the country. You can also reach another local railway station in Sagar known as Saugar Makronia from where you can take an auto-rickshaw to Atal Park.
If you are coming by air, you can take the flight to Jabalpur or Bhopal. These two are the busiest airports of Madhya Pradesh. Jabalpur Airport is situated 144 km far from Sagar and Bhopal Airport is 175 km away. From these two airports, you can easily hire a cab or taxi to reach Atal Park in Sagar.
