On the 7th edition of the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards, at St. Regis hotel in Mumbai on 17th May 2018, Delhi has been voted the best shopping destination along with Dubai and were tagged as ‘The Best Destinations for Shopping’. Sudhir Sobti, Chief Manager, PR & Publicity, Delhi Tourism received the award for Delhi.
An official said, “The prestigious award proves once again how Delhi has come a long way in expanding its scope to the travelers and becoming a preferred tourist destination. The Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards is widely acknowledged as most prominent award in the travel Industry.”
