Here is finally some good news for all the international travelers out there. After a 4-month long interval, International flights from Chennai have resumed, though the travel is limited to countries like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah currently.

As per the SOP, after travelers get their flight tickets, they must register their details in the TN e-pass portal. While registering on the portal, travelers have to submit declarations about their good health, and that they do not live in containment one and other such information.

Besides that, thermal screening of passengers at the airport, health checks, and luggage disinfection by the airport authorities. Further, there are a few changes in rules by the Tamil Nadu Government as per which those who arrive with a COVID negative certificate will not have to go through a mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine. Airlines like Indigo and GoAir have already announced flights from Chennai while SpiceJet from Madurai.

With international flights from Chennai starting for a few destinations, there is hope that soon flights to other International destinations will start soon!
