Putting all dilemmas to rest, Ram took his to-be wife Kavya by surprise and relieved all confusions when he got a Singapore honeymoon package booked through TravelTriangle. It was supposed to be a honeymoon free of all hassles and to make it happen, TravelTriangle covered the expenses of his flight, accommodation, cruise, all tickets and transfers at a total price of INR 140,200.
A month before our marriage, my husband and I were trying to figure out a location for our honeymoon. Amid all the dilemma, my husband surprised me when he informed me about the Singapore package that he booked through TravelTriangle. I got to know that all the arrangements were made smoothly and my husband did not have to face any issues in the booking process. Two months after our wedding, we took off to Singapore and it turned out to be a destination that allows couples to celebrate togetherness — be it on a cruise or on adrenaline-pumping adventure rides.
Day 1: The beginning of a journey
We landed in Singapore at 6 am in the morning. We had kept the day free since we wanted to rest on the first day. So during the day, we stayed back at the hotel and chilled out. Although not much of traveling happened on this day, we took to explore the local area and visited the Little India late in the evening. Being at this little cultural enclave was exactly like being in India and we did not even feel that we were in Singapore. We roamed around throughout the evening and had an amazing dinner at a nearby restaurant.
The hotel accommodating us, Hotel Moon, seemed good when we entered but gradually turned uncomfortable. There was construction work going on, causing disturbance and even the rooms were very average. So we got the hotel changed on the next day after requesting our agent. I was glad that our agent representative was very accommodating and patiently addressed the problem.

On the second day, we shifted to Hotel Aqueen. We were happy with their service, rooms and the overall ambience. As the day unfolded, we went for the panoramic city drive, driving past all the major tourist attractions of the city. We saw the Merlion Park, the Millennium Tower, the Singapore flyer and finally proceeded towards the Thian Hock Keng Temple. As per the tour guide’s instructions, we stopped at each place for about half an hour.

The sightseeing tour offered a closer view of the beautiful city of Singapore. But the best part was yet to come. After the Singapore sightseeing tour wrapped up, we were taken to the Sentosa Island — the one stop destination for all adventure seekers. There were rides, adventure activities, restaurants and what not – it was truly a magician’s hat! Here, we witnessed dolphins dance to the mere gesture of their trainers at the dolphin show, indulged in numerous rides and underwent a magical journey at the Wings of Time.
Our first stop in Sentosa was the Sentosa Beach. For some time, we chilled at the beach and even went to and through a gigantic Sea Aquarium. Then there was the Dolphin show and the Butterfly Park in line. Since our tickets to Sentosa were pre-booked and inclusive in our package itself we enjoyed the trip freely, unbothered about buying a ticket.
The fun was furthered with the unique wheeled gravity ride at the Skyline Luge and a visit to the famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds. The whole crazy journey of Sentosa was brought to an end with the cable car ride, displaying a beautiful view of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day.
Day 3: Entering the universe of the Universal Studio
On our second day in Sentosa, we went to experience the Universal Studio – a theme park meant to leave you startled. Here, we experienced cutting-edge rides, shows, and attractions based on famous blockbuster films and television series.
Before proceeding to the Universal Studios, we stepped into the world of the Singapore flyer featuring breathtaking, panoramic views of the Marina Bay. Throughout the day, we extended our experience at various fun-filled rides and with the fall of the night, we went for the Star Cruise, where we spent another 2 days.

Day 4: Setting sail away from Singapore
For every person who visits Singapore, Sentosa is a must. And the time that we spent in Sentosa was indescribable. To add to this whole experience of Singapore and beyond, we had got a 2-day cruise booked.
First of all, the view of a beautifully lit cruise ship itself blows your mind away and then there are innumerable entertainers to keep you occupied – the pool, Jacuzzi, restaurants, music and live performances etc. We did not even feel sea sick at any point of time since the movement of the boat was slow and steady. In the evening, we let lose our crazy side and danced through the night in the disc. The crowd was amazing and we had a great time.
Day 5: Another day at the cruise
This was our first time in a cruise ship and I was overjoyed with the way the entire journey was unfolding. On the second morning in the cruise, we started by relaxing in the Jacuzzi and left for the breakfast. Offering a wide range of food items, the buffet was conducted 6 times a day. And throughout the day, various dance performances, magic shows, and other live performances were carried out on different floors of the ship. We too enjoyed some of these and spent quality time on the deck. It was thoroughly romantic and a unique experience.
The boat touched Singapore in the evening and by the time we reached the hotel, night had taken over. We checked back into Hotel Aqueen, took dinner went for a stroll around to see the local market. Roaming in the city late at night exhibited the charm of the beautifully lit city. This, coupled with the spic-and-span roads, and minimal traffic – instilled a beauty in our walks.
Day 6: A brief family reunion
After spending some carefully planned days in Singapore, we reserved this day to spend in the company of some of our family relatives living there. We played games in their society, chit-chatted and returned to the hotel by night.
Day 7: The retreat

Scheduled for a flight back to India at 4:45 in the evening, we hurried through the breakfast. We had reserved the day exclusively for shopping, so, we left for the Mustafa market. A shopping streak took off and we shopped for some souvenirs and explored the Mustafa mall. In order to be on time for the take-off, we got back to the hotel by 2 and managed accordingly.
Highlight: While you are in Singapore, Sentosa should be on the top of your list, for this is where I gave my heart away to Singapore.
Low Point: The construction work going on in the first hotel that we checked made us seek another hotel.
Tips to travel to Singapore: Do not miss on the experience of the cruise.
