Mountains, valleys, beaches, and temples- just what more can I person ask for in one place? Witness Mitaksh’s perfectly timed family trip to Bali filled with adventures. Mitaksh booked a package via TravelTriangle for INR 41500 that included their transfers, accommodation, sightseeing, and breakfast.

Kuta Scuba Diving

My wife and I were planning an international trip for a while, but our jobs in the Indian Army have certain difficulties in getting holiday permissions. Once we got a chance, we immediately started planning for a vacation. While we were searching on the internet for tour packages to Bali, we found TravelTriangle website.

Customizing a package according to travelers need seemed like an innovative idea. So, I sent a query to TravelTriangle and was soon contacted by a representative who understood my requirements. Afterwards, he connected me to various travel agents who sent me different quotations for my package.

The best deal was given to me by ‘D’Organizers.Com’ and just like that, we were ready for our first international vacation in the beautiful Bali.

We took an early morning flight from New Delhi and arrived in Bali at 3pm. Our driver was present at the airport to receive and take us to the hotel. We checked into the hotel in the evening and decided to relax.

The weather was nice, the welcome at the hotel was warm and we were excited to be in Bali.

Day 2: Water Sports in Tanjung Benoa

Post breakfast, at 9 am, our driver was present to take us to Tanjung Benoa for water sports. It was a thrilling experience and we tried parasailing, banana boat ride, and jet skiing.

Afterwards, we were taken on a private glass boat tour to the Turtle Island. On the way, we saw many coral reefs and beautiful marine life. My daughter was particularly excited upon reaching the island and meeting turtles.

As the tour got over, we returned back to mainland Bali around 5 pm. After having dinner in an Indian restaurant, we proceeded back to the hotel and called it a day.

Day 3: Temple Tour

Visit to Tanha Lot

After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel and moved to a private villa in Kuta for the final 2 days. Since 80% of Bali practices Hinduism, so we thought of visiting the temples on the island and indulging in the local culture. It was extremely fascinating for us to see our religion being practiced in a foreign country in a different way.

The tour started with a visit to the scenic Tanah Lot temple on the western coast and it was followed by the Taman Ayun temple. The craftsmanship and intricate detail work done on the stone structures and walls in Taman Ayun left us amazed.

Visit to coffee plantation in Bali

After the temples, we visited the coffee plantations in Bali and tasted a wide variety of tea and coffee.

Food was an issue for us since we are vegetarians but we managed to find an Indian restaurant chain called Queen of India. We had our lunch over here and this time too like many times, our driver went out of the way to take us to vegetarian food outlets!

Day 4: Ubud and Kintamani Tour

Next morning, post breakfast, we got ready for the Ubud tour. We started with a visit to a point from where we could catch a fantastic view of the Kintamani volcano. We also clicked a lot of pictures here and then proceeded on to Ubud.

In Ubud, we stopped at the monkey forest. This place was home to Balinese long-tailed monkeys who were surprisingly very friendly.

Villa stay in Bali

On our way back to the villa, we stopped for a while and saw the beautiful Tegalalang rice fields. The lush green landscape of the place added to the charm of Bali.

Day 5: Scuba Diving and Departure

I had planned to do scuba diving in Kuta, because we missed it at Tanjung Benoa. So for this, I got up really early in the morning and proceeded on to indulge in the diving experience.

Scuba diving was like experiencing meditation underwater. The world underwater is so silent, calm, and unspoilt. After doing it once, I could not help but think when I will I go for it again.

Water sports in Bali

After returning from my scuba dive, we checked out from the villa and moved to the airport for our afternoon flight back to New Delhi.

Looking back at the trip, I believe I couldn’t have selected a better destination to start my international adventures with my family. Bali has something for everyone. Most likely, also a reason for us to visit again.
