The RSNM museum showcases the history and development of the naval forces of Singapore, right from its inception as the 1934 Straits Settlement Royal Naval Volunteer Reserves to the present day Republic of Singapore Navy. The museum had opened its doors to the public in 1987 and is located in a pre-World War II building that was earlier used as quarters by the Royal Navy.
