As we discussed, Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park is an endeavour of the Coimbatore Zoological Park Society, a non-profit authority conducted by the PSG Education group. Nilgiri Biosphere Park was formed in 1986 to promote carefully preserving the environment and natural resources. This nature park is officially registered under the Tamil Nadu Society Act 1975. With the clear objective of creating priceless natural wealth in the Nilgiri Biosphere. Since day one of its constitution, the NBNP has reformed and added the growth of many different flora and fauna, including 430 species of flora, of which 85 species are seen only in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. In addition, it is essential to note that almost 30% of these 85 species were in close danger of extinction in their natural state.
The National Botanical Research Institute (a research institute engaged in modern biology and taxonomy), Lucknow, and Botanic Gardens Conservation, England, have acknowledged the nature park’s noble cause.
