The name “Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra” comes from the legend that this mosque was built in just two and a half days. In 1192 CE, Qutb-ud-Din-Aibak, a general of Muhammad Ghori, took over Ajmer after defeating Prithviraj Chauhan and ordered a mosque to be constructed on the site of Sanskrit College. 2. Shah Jahan’s Mosque

Inside the Ajmer Sharif Dargah complex, you will find another piece of architectural beauty built by Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor. As a token of his devotion, he built this mosque during his reign in the 17th century. The palace is just 1 km away from the Ajmer Junction Railway Station.
