The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology Is located in Hanoi and it showcases exhibits that related to the ethnic minorities and tribes in Vietnam. The Vietnam museum is a great way of learning about the minorities in Vietnam along with preserving the Vietnamese culture. The museum was designed by Ha Duc Linh, who was one of the representatives of the group called the Tay Ethnic group. He constructed the museum in the shape of a Dong Son drum.

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi was fully constructed in 1995 and was opened to the public on 12th November in 1997. The interior was designed by Veronique Dolphus who was a French architect. There are numerous traditional houses in the Open air exhibition which were constructed in 1998 and now there are a total of 10 traditional houses which were built in different ethnic styles and representing the different cultures and regions of Vietnam.

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology opening time is from 8:30 AM every Tuesday to Sunday. It closes at 5:30 PM.
