Wadiy e Hajan, also known as the Hajan Valley, got its name Betaab Valley from the Bollywood movie Betaab; it was shot here. The Betaab Valley, or Wadiy e Hajan, is between the picturesque Phalagam and Chandanwaari; the valley is one of the three surreal valleys after Aru and Chandanwari.
The Mughals have ruled the Betaab Valley since the 15th century. In the latter part of the 15th Century, the Betaab Valley was under the rule of Turko-Mughal Military General Mirza Muhammad Haidar Dughlat. He ruled there, first on behalf of Sultan Said Khan of Kashgar and later on behalf of the Mughal Emperor Humayun.
