By Road: The Limestone Caves can be best reached through a motor car or a motorcycle. To find this place from Panaji city take NH748 up to the Valpoi area which is about 50kms away. An alternate route from Valpoi following the village roads leads to Satre. The time taken to drive from Panaji varies depending on the traffic and the road conditions, but generally, it is between 1.5 to 2 hours.
By Public Transport: There are public buses that ply from major towns such as Panaji and Margao to Valpoi though there are very few direct public means of transport to Satre, hence people are advised to use private vehicles or hire a taxi instead.
By Rail: Thivim is the nearest big railway station, positioned some 40 kilometers from Satre. A taxi can be hired from Thivim to Valpoi and then on to Satre village. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Satre from Thivim by road.
