Read on as Abhilash and Yogesh head east to Thailand in search of a fun-filled week of thrills and adventure. As the saying goes, a good friend is cheaper than therapy! Their trip cost them a total of INR 63,500 which included their flights, accommodation, transfers, sightseeing, and meals.
My good friend Yogesh and I wanted a vacation outside India where we would chill out and not worry about the how, what, where, and why of things. Given our budget and requirements, Thailand was the perfect fit.
I found out about TravelTriangle on the internet while searching for Thailand tour packages. I liked the option of customizing the holiday package according to one’s needs. The luxury of having to choose from multiple packages on a single platform gave me a good chance of finding a competitive price for my trip to Thailand.
I submitted a query on the TravelTriangle mobile app and promptly got a call from a travel representative. She understood my requirements and connected me to different agents who offered me various deals for Thailand. I chose the best package given to me by ‘Sabkiyatra‘.
After finishing all the formalities, both of us were ready to fly out and experience the exotic and oriental culture of Thailand.

Day 1: Feeling the magic of Alcazar
After boarding a flight from Mumbai at night, we finally landed in Bangkok at 4 am. Upon our arrival, the taxi driver was present to take us to Pattaya. Riding through to southern Thailand on a crisp sunny morning felt very comforting.
Three hours later, with tired bodies and excited minds we arrived in Pattaya and checked into the hotel. Post lunch, we decided to explore the city of Pattaya. Soon enough, we ended up at the Jomtien beach.
The moment we hit Jomtien, we realized what a massive party place Pattaya was. The location was perfect with it’s white sand beaches surrounded by flashy hotels and yachts docked all around the beach.
In the evening, we visited the magical Alcazar dance show. The grandest and most famous cabaret show in Thailand certainly lived up to it’s expectations. The glamourous performance wowed the audience throughout the show. Afterwards, we proceeded back to the hotel and rested for the night.
Day 2: Full speed cruise to Coral Island

The next morning, we had breakfast and got ready for a day of sightseeing and relaxation. The driver dropped us at the Jomtien beach from where we took a speedboat to Coral Island.
It was an absolute thrill to ride in a speedboat at a very high speed. The ride felt like one from an action movie as the boat hit the water hard and splashing waves all around us. As we arrived at the Coral Island, I took a deep breath as I took in the natural beauty that surrounded me. We went for a dip in the water and relaxed on the white sand beach with some grub.
After spending a delightful time at Coral Island, we zoomed back to Pattaya in the same James Bond-esque style around 4 pm. For dinner we had some delicious Pad Thai, after which we proceeded back to the hotel for the night.
Day 3: Traveling back to Bangkok

We woke up a little later than planned, which resulted in us missing our shuttle to Bangkok at 8 am. We checked out of the hotel and took a taxi. After reaching Bangkok we altered our schedule as we had already missed a portion of the city tour.
We checked into the hotel and proceeded to explore the city on our own. The hotel was a 10-minute walk to the Pratunam market where we decided to do shopping.
As the sun set on yet another beautiful day in Thailand, we went out to indulge in the vibrant nightlife of Bangkok. After some tasty street food and drinks at a pub, we returned to the hotel for the night.
Day 4: Tigers, Zebras, and Cheerful Dolphins
Our fourth day was reserved for a visit to Safari World. A huge attraction for wildlife lovers, which hosts the full diaspora of the animal kingdom including a marine park for underwater animals.
First, we visited Safari Park where we went for an hour long safari. In the safari we saw tigers, zebras, deer, and giraffes. After that we had lunch, which was included in our package. Later, we got to see the Marine Park in which we witness the beautifully choreographed dolphin and seal shows. We exited the Safari World at 4 pm and proceeded back to the hotel.
The final few hours before sleeping, we spent in trying out sea food- one of the things to do in Bangkok and buying some souvenirs.
Day 5 : Flying back to India
We had a flight at 4.30 in the morning, so we scheduled a drop to the airport at 2 am.
With this our incredible trip to Thailand came to a satisfying end. A great chance utilized by my friend and I to visit the pearl of South-east Asia. Seeing such incredible beaches and indulging in a vibrant community certainly lit up our outlook on travel in Asia.
