For me, traveling is heading somewhere familiar or new. I am always on a lookout for new experiences and take a lot of interest in the destination I am visiting. As a traveler, I like to strike a conversation with locals and get involved in the local culture.
Our honeymoon trip to Bali was on par with our expectations. We could not have chosen a more romantic place to spend some quality time together. The tropical settings and scenic landscapes of the island stole our heart away the moment we set foot in Bali. We had a perfect balance of leisure activities and some alone couple time.
I shortlisted a few places for our honeymoon before I locked in Bali. My friend who visited Bali last year suggested me this place. I was floored after seeing his photos. That is when I decided I was taking my wife to Bali for our honeymoon. I came across TravelTriangle on social media, sent them my quote, and voila! My package was booked within 2-3 days.

Day 1: Transfer to Umae Villa
Best Way To Plan A 6 Nights 7 Days Romantic Trip To Bali
We arrived at the airport in Denpasar, Bali where we were picked up by our agent representative and transferred to our hotel in Ubud. For first two days of our trip, we stayed at 4-star Umae Villa. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Ubud. The villa came with a private pool where we spent most of our time and an in-house restaurant that served excellent cuisine.
Day 2: Kintamani & Temple Tours
Bali vs Malaysia: Choose Your Kind Of Honeymoon Destination!
Day 2 of our honeymoon trip was filled with exciting excursions. In the morning, we were picked up in a private SUV which took us to Kintamani. We wanted to see the Mt. Batur and the lake in Kintamani. So that is where we headed next. We were spellbound by the majestic views of the lake with the mighty volcano in the backdrop which rose to a height of 3,800 m.
Our next stop was Besakih Temple which is the biggest and holiest of all temples on the island. We also visited Batik Stone Carving and Art Villages. It is a beautiful place in Bali known for its temples and Batik art. We roamed around the place for a while and clicked selfies.
We did not expect Tegalalang Rice Fields to offer us some stunning views. The romantic weather of the fields was a highlight of our honeymoon trip. The showstopper of the day was Tirta Empul, a Hindu-Balinese Temple, founded around a large water spring fed by 12 fountains.
We were exhausted by the end of the day but the spa at Umae Villa followed by a candle-lit dinner lifted up our spirits.
Day 3: Leisure Day
Since we were on our honeymoon, we wanted to have some time to ourselves. We spent Day 2 at our leisure. We explored the nearby market areas in Ubud and did a lot of shopping as my wife is a Grade-A shopaholic. Lol!

Day 4: Tanah Lot Temple Tour
Today, we headed off to Tanah Lot Temple, the rock formations where ancient Hindu Temple is located. Frankly, we did not think we would enjoy so much on this tour. But the experience exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our trip to Uluwatu Temple. The scenery from the top of the cliff was absolutely breathtaking. Uluwatu temple offers you the gorgeous coastlines. Right next to the temple is an amphitheater where we enjoyed watching Kecak dance against the dramatic sunset in the backdrop. A must-have experience for everyone who visits Bali.

Day 5: Lembongan Cruise Day
Cruise in Bali: Explore The Island Like Royalty
We took the cruise early in the morning. We were stunned by the picturesque views of the ocean that cruise offered us. It was definitely the most scenic journey of our life. I’d recommend anyone who is visiting Bali to go on a cruise. It is truly an exhilarating experience.
Lembongan Island offers a bountiful of water sports like banana boat rides, snorkeling, and submersible coral view. Anyone who is an avid water sports fan should definitely put this on his or her list. We enjoyed snorkeling in the blue waters. It was a thrilling experience for me.
We even took the guided village tour on electric car which is among the most popular things to do in Bali. The highlight of the day was the sunset at Rock Bar where we had a sumptuous meal. We had been told that it globe’s one of the most spectacular sunsets. And, it was. We had never seen something surreal like that before.
Day 6: Leisure Day
Best Things To Do In Seminyak To Make The Most Of The Happening Beach Area In Bali
It was our last day in Bali and instead of having it all, we just wanted to slow down and relax. We meandered in the streets of Bali and bought some souvenirs for family and friends from the local markets before taking off to our room.
Final thoughts
It was a great decision choosing Bali as our honeymoon destination. I don’t think any other place would have provided us with an exhilarating experience as this alluring tropical island did.
