We arrived in Pattaya after an overnight flight followed by a three-hour road journey. After a short afternoon nap, we got ready to be dazzled by the evening Alcazar show. The glitz and glamor of the Alcazar show were unmatched, as it kept us glued to our seats till the end. We left the theatre in awe and admiration of the grandeur of showbiz in Thailand.

Finally, the big day was upon us! We started off our daughter’s birthday by going for a beautiful day-trip to Coral Island. On the way to Coral Island, my husband and I went for a thrilling session of parasailing. Afterwards, we returned to the hotel and relaxed in the pool for a while.
Later in the evening, we celebrated my daughter’s birthday in Thailand by cutting a cake at a local restaurant. The locals in Pattaya were super friendly and caring, as at least 10-15 strangers joined our celebration by singing for our daughter, and spending time with her. They were so caring towards our daughter that there was a point where my husband and I were having food, and the restaurant staff was taking care of my daughter! A truly special and one-of-a-kind experience. Bravo Thailand!

On the third morning, we visited the Underwater World in Pattaya. My daughter and I were fascinated by the huge variety of marine life present at the Underwater World oceanarium. I could notice my daughter’s eyes swirl around perplexed and amazed at the hundreds of new creatures she had never seen before.

Since we had nothing planned for our afternoon, after the Underwater World tour, we decided to explore the beach and relax over there for a while. The weather in the evening was simply magical thanks to a fresh breeze accompanied with a welcome drop in temperatures.

On the fourth day, we checked out of Pattaya and left for Bangkok. After checking into The Ecotel, we walked on to the bustling streets of Bangkok for a day of shopping. There were two main places we visited for shopping in Bangkok- Indira Market/Square (for budget shopping), and Platinum Mall (for luxury shopping).

On the final day, our flight was supposed to leave after midnight leaving us with more than 12 hours to spare after our scheduled check-out. We checked out of the hotel, and traveled to the Art In Paradise Museum- a unique collection of wall paintings and artwork that added a 3D effect to the environment.
In the evening, at a travelers recommendation, we went for a serene dinner cruise in the Chao Phraya river. Music, fine dining, drinks, and a beautiful cruise ship was a fine way to end a memorable family trip to Thailand.
