Hon Mun island is spread over an area of 160 square kilometres, including 122 square km of the sea surface and 38 square km of other small sub-islands. This island got its name after the color of the cliffs it has (i.e. black). These black cliffs form caves that serve as homes for different creatures who either build their nest or come here to roost. This beautiful island in Nha Trang is famous for its clear water, picturesque scenery, greenery surrounding the same, and other water activities. Different flora and fauna are also found here. Hon mun island is Vietnam’s first Marine conservation area and does not allow any fishing practices. There are about 1500 species of marine life, which is assessed by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as the area with the most marine biodiversity in Vietnam. Due to the hot water currents from the equator, Hon Mun Island has a variety of corals in different and unique shapes. It is an Indo-Pacific hub of coral diversity, attracting several oceanographers from all around.

Since you swim only on the water’s surface and explore the water bed from there only, you are not required to be a swimmer. But if you wish to explore it from a close view and know how to swim, you may choose scuba diving. Scuba diving allows you to swim 6-8 meters deep.

2. Floating Bar Party
If you are bored with the traditional way of parties, try this one. The floating bar party is part of an all-day-long boat trip. The boat takes you to different places and stops there for a while. With a group of a total of 35 people, you are served food, beverages, and alcoholic drinks as well. Getting drunk and partying with strangers amongst nature surely sounds exciting. Since the Floating Bar party is one of the rare parties that can hardly be found at any other destinations, it is charged at higher rates than other activities in Hon Mun.

3. Sea walking
Without any prior swimming knowledge, you can enjoy the sea life very closely. You are tied with a rope and allowed to explore the seabed from a distance of 5 meters below the water’s surface. Visitors are equipped with a 33 kg helmet for a 20-minute walk. Enjoying a walk while exploring coral reefs and fishes around is so magical. This activity is guided by experienced people, and visitors are sent underwater in groups. This activity is open from 9 am to 4 pm daily and ranges from around 600,000 VND or more.

4. Glass Bottom Boats
For all those people who are unable to go scuba diving or seawalk, our glass-bottom boats have you covered. They are a perfect option for elderly people, kids under the age of 6, and pregnant women, too. You are provided with a boat with a glass bottom and can see marine life through it while enjoying some snacks. The ticket for the same ranges around 60,000 VND per person. Discovering the sea beauty through a glass panel is a different vibe.

5. Parasailing

We all must have imagined flying like a bird and exploring the natural beauty from the top view at least once in our lifetime. Parasailing will turn your imagination into reality. Not from the topmost view but a few meters above the seawater level. In this activity, you are tied with a parachute and all the safety gears and pulled with a motor boat. The boat’s speed and wind pressure raise you towards the sky, about 70-100 meters above.

It is a Vietnam-based theme park with many interesting things you may choose. The theme park offers various types of car trips. One of them is round-trip cable car service, which costs around $8 per person. You may also book tickets for the Tata show and round trip cable car combo. This will cost you $11 for each person. This will let you enjoy a musical/lighting at the water fountain around 6:30 pm and fireworks at 8:30 pm. This theme park offers a very interesting activity for kids: dressing up like junior zookeepers. Dressing like a junior zoo keeper, acquainting with small animals, learning about their diet and eating patterns, and caring for and feeding those animals are all included in the ticket. 2. Hon Mieu Island

This stunning island has Tran Beach Nha Trang, Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Hon Mieu Fishing Village, and Soi Island tourist area, which are the top four attractions. It gives free entry for children below 1 meter in height. It is located 8 km away from the Nha Trang city centre. This stone-built aquarium is divided into three floors. The first floor is dedicated to fish aquariums, the second is for shops, and the third is for restaurants.
