How To Reach Hong Island

Most people go by speedboat to Hong Island Phuket and Khao Lak or by the traditional longtail boat from the Krabi. Klong Muang Beach, Ao Nang Beach, Tonsai Beach and Railay Beach are the nearest resorts. Travel agencies in the area, nearby hotels and even the beach itself provide trips to the island. Up to 6 persons can travel in longtail boats for about 2500-3000 Baht each round trip, while speedboat trips run about 1200-2000 Baht per person and it includes park fees, lunch and snorkelling equipment.

The trip will take around 30-45 minutes offering a breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea. The distance is around 6 kilometres from Krabi mainland to Koh Hong. Also, the boat ride is a true highlight in terms of scenery and will take around 20 minutes. The best thing to do is to make reservations in advance, especially during peak travel seasons.
