Trekking At Lambir Hills National Park

The 22-meter Tree Tower, about a kilometer away from the park HQ, which is on the way during the Pantu Trail, offers you a scenic view of the forest profile. Visitors climb up to the top, to experience bird sightings.

Provisions of accommodation are available in the Lambir Hills National Park, but it is completely subjected to availability. You are strongly advised to get in touch with the booking office of the National park, for the tariffs and making reservations. Accommodations in the park are chalets, having spacious provisions for a campsite.

You ought to obtain a permit during your stay, for photography sessions or any sorts of filming. This too can be arranged from the National Park’s booking office.

How To Reach Lambir Hills National Park

Lambir is only 32 kms away from the city of Miri. Buses from the Pujut Corner Bus Terminal takes 30-40 minutes, which terminates at the park HQ. Taxi services, with provisions of pickup for the return journey are also available. Many hotels in Miri offers services of self-drive cars to the tourists, who wishes to go out and relish the whole day.

Visiting tourists may also opt for trips organized by the travel agents in Miri, which will depart in the early morning hours and will be back after lunch. The last bus to Miri, leaves the park HQ at 5:30 PM. However, buses if demarcated as LAMBIR, doesn’t ply to the National park HQ!

The Miri airport is well connected with flights of Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines. Being the sixth-busiest airport of Malaysia, the Miri airport is major hub for the domestic aviation services. The airport is located 9.5 Kms south east of the Miri City.

While you the enter the park, register yourself first at the Park office, where the guide will give details regarding safety and what to do in the national park. It is strongly advisable that the visitors to the park exit the park grounds by 5 PM.
