After a thunderous victory lap last year, Lollapalooza India, or as fans affectionately call it, ‘Lolla’, is back for its 3rd edition in 2025.The music festival, which brings international talent from rap, rock, pop, and indie music into a mixed-bag fusion of melodies and harmonies, was an instant hit in India. This year, the festival is expected to draw even larger crowds with a roster of Indian and global artists under the same roof, catering to all tastes and preferences. WME and BookMyShow are bringing you a heady and excellent weekend party like never before. For its 2025 edition, the music festival is scheduled for 8th and 9th March 2025 (Sat-Sun) at the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai, India, where the last two editions also took place.

The festival will include multiple stages across the venue, where artists often perform simultaneously. It’s difficult to see every performance, so you must plan your schedule for the day carefully so you can navigate between the stages with ease and not miss out on any of your cherished artists. The shows start at 2 p.m. in the afternoon and go on until about 10 p.m.

Tickets for Lollapalooza India 2025 are selling like hotcakes. Make sure to grab yours as soon as possible. Many phases are already sold out. Lolla tickets are available through the festival’s official website, lollaindia.com, and BookMyShow.

There are four categories of tickets available for Lolla weekend –

• General Admission – Starting INR 5999. Access to all four stages with curated food experiences, bars, festival merch, and free water stations.
• Lolla Comfort – Starting INR 8999. This is a dedicated comfort zone with air-conditioned toilets, shade and seating area, and concierge service.
• Lolla VIP – Starting INR 14999. Access to VIP Zone and viewing decks with elevated sight lines, exclusive experience zone with dedicated merchandise stalls, shade and seating area.
• Lolla NEXA Lounge – Starting INR 47999. Access to all VIP privileges. Preferred parking spots, shuttle services, complimentary food and bar privileges, mobile charging units, and access to the front of the stage.

Lollapalooza India Day 1 Lineup

Day 1 will be headlined by the Canadian sensation and heartthrob Shawn Mendes, who is returning to the stage to perform live after a two-year hiatus. Popular for his hits, including Treat You Better and Senorita, Shawn Mendes is expected to draw a broad pop audience to Lolla. He is being joined by the zany and psychedelic pop band Glass Animals, with famous hits like Heat Waves and Tokyo Drifting.

Clarity and Break Free hitmaker DJ Zedd is set to return to India for the first time in a decade at Lollapalooza India 2025 and later at his tour for the album Telos. Other performers include the viral success and Cuban-American singer Isabel LaRosa, known for songs like I’m Yours and Favourite. Big Boi, Cory Wong, Talwiinder, DOT., Sahil Vasudeva, Anushka, Lullanas, Sid Vashi, Dhanji, and Spryk are expected to bring high-energy daily performances.

The anticipation for day 2 at Lollapalooza India is even more tangible, with the American punk-rock group Green Day headlining and making their India debut performance at the festival. They’re bringing their all-time hits like Boulevard of Broken Dreams and American Idiot straight to the boulevards of Mumbai. Former member of the most loved boy band on earth, One Direction, Louis Tomlinson, is also set to appear. John Summit, Nothing But Thieves, and the ethereal Aurora are the other big names performing on the 9th of March 2025.

The festival features pop and rock music and champions diversity by including hip-hop and rap acts. Big Boi (one-half of the influential hip-hop band Outkast), Indian rappers Raftar and KR$NA, and the sensational Hanumankind make up the league of the Big Dawgs. Sitarist and fusion artist Niladri Kumar and singer-songwriter Raghav Meattle are set to bring in folk influences and contribute to the diverse sounds of the festival.

The full lineup for Lollapalooza India 2025 also includes artists like Lisa Mishra, singer Raman Negi, indie producer-instrumentalist Sudan, the South Korean rock band Wave to Earth, and EDM master Alok.

How to Reach Lollapalooza India Music Festival

Fly to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), the main airport for Mumbai. It is one of the busiest ports, and you can access the airport virtually anywhere. Take a Chalo bus or cab from the airport to the festival. Alternatively, you can also reach Mumbai by train. Reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), find a bus or taxi to your hotel, and go to the Lollapalooza India festival from there.

Tips to have a good Lollapalooza

Following the success of its first two iterations, Lollapalooza is expected to be high in demand and maybe even chaotic if you’re not prepared. Follow these tips and have a good time at the festival –

• If you have a Rupay credit card, you can avail of a special sale on General Admission Weekend passes.
• Prioritise comfort, wear your most comfortable sneakers and clothes and carry extra scrunchies.
• Carry a small refillable non-metal bottle to stay hydrated and avoid queues at water fountains.
• There is bound to be a large crowd, so try not to lose contact with your friends. Establish a meeting point or landmark.
• Travel as lightly as possible. Don’t carry too many gadgets, change of clothes, or toiletries.
• Be prepared to walk. After the festival, getting an auto or cab back to your home or hotel is nearly impossible. You might need to walk a few blocks.
• Drink responsibly, avoid littering, and don’t hold up giant posters that restrict other’s view of the stage. Have fun, but not at others’ expense.
