Jami Mosque is situated in Toronto and is one of the oldest mosques in Canada. Mosque has been a strong and a prominent Islamic center in Toronto – spreading awareness on the teachings of Islam. 8. Al-Rashid Mosque
This is the 1st mosque to be built in whole Canada. Mosque was opened for public in the year 1938. Being the only place for Muslims at that time it became a pilgrimage for local Canadian Muslims – population of whose was tiny, a few hundred at that time.
