The entire shadow of snow-capped peaks gets reflected in crystal-clear water. The lake is about 5 km ahead to the east of Nichnai Pass and is usually the next campsite after crossing the pass. The waters of the lake are believed to be a healing power. The lake is said to be sacred in local legends. Sometimes, some of the local wildlife might come in to drink water at the lake. Birds like the Himalayan Snowcock can be often seen around this area.
