2. Yuen Yuen Institute

It was first constructed in 1932 by an old monk and was then known as the Bamboo Forest Monastery which was basically created from carving out a hillside with six disciples. 4. Sam Tung Uk Museum

The residents were a part of the Chan Clan and stayed in three-beamed houses and everything traditional: ranging from the furnishings and kitchenware to wedding items and agricultural tools.

5. Western Monastery
One of the most highly recommended Tsuen Wan tourist attractions is the Western Monastery which was built in 1970’s in a village called Lo Wai, which is one of the oldest villages in Tsuen Wan. This is a quiet and serene complex which has been designed as a traditional Chinese palace and will automatically take you to a period movie set! The halls inside the complex are huge and spacious and are connected to one another by stairs that run up a hillside. There is a tiny little garden near the entrance which is full of lush flora, Bodhisattva grottos and reclining Buddhas.

6. Chuen Lung Koon Man School

This space is a studio cum exhibition area for all local artists and the project has been given a very interesting name: ‘Hi! Hill’.
