To our surprise, the managing staff of Sharanam Green Resort let us check-in at 9:30 am itself post which we all freshened up in our rooms and took some rest. After a hearty lunch at the resort, we spent the entire evening on Calangute beach which is a mere 3 km from the hotel.
15 Budget Hotels In Goa Perfect For All Kinds Of Travelers
Sitting on the cool sand of the beach watching our kids play and the sun go down in the horizon was as relaxing as it could get. The experience somehow washed away our weariness bit by bit.
Day 3: From Goa’s bewitching attractions to its noisy flea markets
We spent the day checking out the popular Indo-Portuguese delights of Goa, like the Basilica De Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, Fort Aguada, and the Shantadurga Temple.
Post an insightful sightseeing tour of Goa, the ladies in our group urged to go for some shopping and so our entire herd landed in the beautiful village of Dona Paula. The women bought everything from fancy bracelets, twinkling earrings, tee shirts, bags, to local Goan handicrafts, before our hungry kids forced them to peel their eyes off the merchandise and head back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4: Thrilling at Sinquerim beach: watersports & dolphins
8 Most Amazing Places To Visit In Goa In December 2021
Post an early breakfast at the hotel, we rode off to Sinquerim beach in North Goa for a spot of adventure. We took a boat ride in the sea and spotted a few dolphins jumping about joyously.
Next, we indulged in some watersports at the beach. There were a variety of activities for different age groups, so we chose accordingly. We went for fun banana boat rides, speed boat tours, jet skiing, and tube rides.
I also went for an absolutely exhilarating session of parasailing and found myself wishing I could do it over and over again. We carried our tired and famished souls back to the resort and gorged on some delicious dinner.

We spent the first half of the day wandering in the exotic markets of Panjim and bought a range of goods like cashew nuts, local spices, Goan handicrafts, fenny and decorative items made out of shells. We left in time for our evening yacht ride and totally fell in love with the experience of watching the sunset from aboard that luxurious boat.
How to end a fun-packed trip to Goa with your family in the most glamorous way? By heading to the casino! And that’s exactly what we did. After frolicking about and trying our luck in the casino for a few hours, we returned to the hotel.
Day 6: Bidding adieu with happy memories
We rode off to the Karmali train station after a sumptuous breakfast at our hotel, and boarded our train to Surat with a huge smile on our face.
Who said Goa is only for the young? My kids discovered pure joy and my parents seemed to have relived their childhood in just these 6 days they spent here. All in all, there couldn’t have been a better place for me to spend time with my family!
The WOW factors of the trip: Our peaceful, quaint resort; watersports at Sinquerim beach; our time at the casino; spending time with my parents.
The Not-So-WOW aspects: We missed Dudhsagar waterfalls due to heavy rain in that area.
Tips for travelers: Before visiting, make sure the weather conditions here are favorable, especially if your itinerary included a visit to Dudhsagar and watersports; for a complete value-for-money experience book only through TravelTriangle.
