Day 1: Scenic drive to Jim Corbett
We began our family weekend trip to Jim Corbett from Gurgaon with our own car. After taking a few stops along the way for lunch, we reached Gajraj Trails Resort around 3 pm. After checking in, my family and I decide to explore the lush green expanses of the resort.
We spend the evening relaxing in the resort premises as there wasn’t much planned for the first day of our trip. After enjoying a delicious dinner, we ended our night early in preparation for the morning safari next day.

Day 2: Out and about in the jungle
The next day of our family weekend trip to Jim Corbett began with a 5.30 am jungle safari. The jeep was already there before we were ready to leave. The Jim Corbett entry gate was 30 mins away from the resort. During that ride, the guide introduced himself and gave us a very nice briefing about facts relating to Jim Corbett National Park.
Even throughout the safari, the inputs given by our guide made our ride very interesting. Although we didn’t see as many animals as we expected (the tiger mainly), but the adventurous safari was a memorable experience. Our safari ended around lunch and we were back at the resort by 2.30 pm.
Post lunch, we took a short nap and woke up in the evening to drive down to the local market for some shopping and evening tea. The drive from the resort to the local market in Ram Nagar was very scenic as the road cut right through the dense jungle. Later on, we returned to the resort for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 3: Early morning splash in the pool
On the final morning of our family weekend trip to Jim Corbett, I woke up early and spend some more play time with the kids, first in the pool, and then later on playing badminton. After that, we had breakfast and checked out from Gajraj Trails Resort at 11 am for our return journey back home.
Our family weekend trip to Jim Corbett had nothing spectacular, but what summarized it best was- the drive back home filled with laughs, chatter, and widespread content on everyone’s faces. On a daily basis, I don’t get to spend much time with my kids, and this was a great opportunity to do so. A trip wherein my family and I could relax, unwind, and spend some quality time with each other all at once.

- On the second day, the drive to the village around Jim Corbett was very scenic.
- The food at our resort throughout the three days was very good.
Low point:
- The cleanliness of our room in the resort could’ve been better.
