Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary or ‘Cape of the Creek’ is a rare site in the arid zone of the Gulf. It is located in the region of 6.2 square kilometres featuring mangroves, reed beds, shrublands, intertidal mudflats, lagoons, and more. This Nation Protected area secures over 450 species of fauna and 47 flora. It shelters 20,000 waterbirds of 67 different species that migrate from East Africa to West Asia.
