Both my husband and I are passionate travelers, and we love to travel not only with a purpose to enjoy, but also with an aim to connect with the culture, people, and stories of different places. Since my husband is a CA and I myself practise law, both of us hardly get time for a long vacation, so we prefer taking two to three trips in a year.
So, this time we wanted to visit Rajasthan, which had been on our minds for a very long time. Having never booked packages from any travel agency before, I was spellbound when I saw the pocket-friendly tour packages for Rajasthan on TravelTriangle’s Facebook Ad. I right away got in touch with them, and they not only guided us about all the necessary preparations, but also clarified all our queries. We were so excited for all the things to do in Rajasthan on a romantic trip and cover all the places within 7 days that I cannot express it in words.
Our vacation was for 6 nights and 7 days, and the places we visited were Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar, Bhangarh, Mandawa, and Bikaner. And considering this was our first time with TravelTriangle, I must say it was beyond incredible!

Things To Do In Rajasthan That We Enjoyed On Our Romantic Trip
Day 1: Visiting Sawai Madhopur
We arrived at the Sawai Madhopur station around 8.30 PM where we were picked up by our driver Mr. Rinku who came in an AC Etios. He immediately came across as a very nice guy who gave us a warm welcome and then drove us to Ranthambore.
Upon reaching Ranthambore, we checked into our hotel – Tiger Safari Resort, which was par our expectations. The room, cleanliness, ambience, food quality, and hospitality, everything was excellent. If I had to rate them, I would easily give them a 9 on 10.

Next day early in the morning, we went for jungle safari in a jeep in the Ranthambhore National Park. After a refreshing escapade, we returned to our hotel, had a hearty breakfast, and left for our sightseeing tour in Rajasthan. We visited the Ranthambore Fort, the Ganesh Temple, and the nearby market places.
While both of us had a great time exploring these attractions, we couldn’t resist the hunger. So, we returned to our hotel for lunch in the afternoon and then left for our second jungle safari in the park in a canter.
We enjoyed the safari the most, especially the experience of watching the wildlife from so close, and our night stay in Ranthambore. This put the perfect start to our holiday in Rajasthan.
Day 3: Visiting Ajmer and Pushkar
After breakfast, we headed for the city of Jaipur. But, en route we made multiple pit stops at places like Ajmer, Pushkar, Soniji ki Nasiyan, and Brahma Temple. Later, we reached the Pink City, where we stayed in Hotel Landmark. Unlike our first stay, this one was average.
Day 4: Admiring Nahargarh Fort, Sheesh Mahal & more in Jaipur
Both of us had breakfast after which we left our day excursion trip to the majestic Bhangarh Fort and the Abhaneri Step Well. Abhaneri was beautiful and roaming in Bhangarh turned out to be the best experience of our lifetime, and we absolutely loved it.
After that, we visited the Nahargarh Fort, the Wax Museum and the Sheesh Mahal, which is one of the best things to do in Rajasthan on a romantic trip. All of these places were spellbinding, especially the Sheesh Mahal, which was too fascinating. Later in the evening, we returned to our hotel for another overnight stay in Jaipur.
DAY 5: Staying in a heritage Haveli in Mandawa
On the fifth day our trip to Rajasthan, we had a scrumptious breakfast and then checked out from our hotel for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, City Palace, and Jal Mahal were some of the attractions in Jaipur that we ticked off from our list.
After this, we headed to Mandawa and checked into the Hotel Heritage Mandawa upon reaching. It was a nice heritage place, modified into a hotel and quite well maintained. We stayed in an antique room, which was full of paintings all over the walls and the ceiling.
Apart from that, there were also a peacock room and the Sheesh Mahal, which they showed us and believe me, they were magnificent as well. Needless to say, the hotel was exemplary, the food was fantastic, and the people were too nice.
Day 6: Exploring the gems in Mandawa
We had reserved the whole day for exploring Mandawa, and we successfully did it too. From havelis to mansions, and shooting place of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to other attractions, we visited all the places and took a lot of pictures as well. After all, the best part of about a holiday is capturing the beauty of your experiences and treasuring them as memories. Our guide Rabi Ji was a very nice person and he certainly guided us very well about the history and heritage of Mandawa.
Later on, we proceeded for our visit to Bikaner, wherein we visited the Karni Mata Temple on our way. Also called as the Rat Temple was surely a very spectacular and surprising sight for our eyes. In Bikaner, we checked into Hotel Sagar, and it was pretty excellent and had good food and great hospitality.
Day 7: Sightseeing in Bikaner and shopping in Jaipur
After breakfast, we checked out from the hotel and went to the Junagarh Fort, the Lalgarh Palace and thereafter headed to Jaipur again.
Upon reaching the Pink City, we did one of the top things to do in Rajasthan on a romantic trip, which is shopping. We came across blue pottery, colorful lanterns, and the famous Jaipuri Rajai during our time in the local market.
Around 9 PM, our driver Rinku Ji dropped us at the Jaipur Airport for our journey back home. And it was finally time to bid adieu to the golden land.
