While Inside The Zoo

Though taking a stroll is the best way to experience the zoo, the long stretch of 28 hectares is not a very short span to be entirely covered by feet. The Open Habitat

Spread across an area of twenty-eight hectares, Singapore Zoo is home to a total of 300 species of mammals, reptiles, and birds. It is segregated into 11 zones leading to different exhibits. The animals are kept in spacious yet enclosed landscapes separated from visitors by moats that are either filled with water or vegetation. Animals that can pose threat to visitors are kept enclosed in glass. The animals are given a natural habitat as much as possible with the minimal and essential barriers just to create a safe distance between the visitors and the animals. The major stretch of the land, as well as the water body, has been left as it is in order to preserve the natural habitat.

The Inmates

The animal reserve is home to carnivores such as white tiger, African Lion, leopards, cheetah and Wolverine among others. 2. Rainforest Kidzworld

Featuring mostly domestic animals like dog and parrots to perform tricks is aimed at providing amusement for children. It is the best time for children instead of moving from one place to another to just view the animals from a distance. Being able to see animals from such close quarters is a real treat for them.

3. Elephant Show

Elephants are known for their royal demeanor. Watching them from close quarters playing in the herd can be the most pleasant pass time.
