If you plan to stay longer, you can request more time from the immigration officer at the airport or contact the local immigration office in the UAE and request an extension.     The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in New Delhi, India issues visas on Diplomatic and Official Passports only. The UAE Embassy does not issue tourist visas on ordinary passports for travel to the UAE. Tourist visa for an Indian National, holding an ordinary passport, is arranged by a sponsor in UAE. It can also be obtained on booking a hotel in UAE or through the Emirates Airlines Office, the Air Arabia Office or a travel agent in India.

    Note: The Embassy does not issue Transit Visas. You should contact the airline company that will fly you to the UAE and enquire about the possibility of traveling to the UAE without a prior visa.

    You need to request the visa through your sponsor/host by sending a copy of your passport to them to process your visa from the local immigration office in the UAE. This process will take about four working days. Then, make sure to receive a copy of your visa by fax or email from them before your departure.     Visa On Arrival

    It is advisable to keep a copy of the visa approval with you to be produced at the port of entry in the UAE. All Indian passport holders should fulfill the following requirements at the port of entry:

    • The original and xerox copy of Income Tax returns, salary slips of the last 6 months, xerox copy of pan card and xerox copy of Fixed Deposit Receipt.
    • Visa application form duly filled and signed.
    • 2 passport-sized coloured photographs.
    • Original passport for verification (valid for 6 months from the date of travel) and a coloured xerox copy of the first two pages and last two pages.
    • Confirmed return ticket.
    • Invitation letter from the host company in the UAE.
    • For female applicants and students who are above 18 years and travelling alone, an NOC from parents/husband and a photo ID of parents/husband is mandatory along with a copy of the host’s passport and residence visa.
