Best Things In Bali To Experience
Here is a day-wise account of our honeymoon and all the cherishing experiences we had in Bali. I am still in trance of Bali as I’m writing this.
Day 1: Date Night At Beach
Our stay on the first night was in Kuta. After we checked-in our hotel – Kuta Heritage Hotel, we took some rest to get ourselves charged for the days ahead. In the evening, we enjoyed a romantic candle-lit dinner on Kuta Beach. There could not have been a better start to our Bali honeymoon. It is one of the best things in Bali to experience for couples.

Day 2: Ubud Rice Swing & Tegenungan Waterfall
Next day was grand. We began our sightseeing in Ubud with beautiful traditional dance performance – Barong and Keris, in Batubulan. It was a dramatic narration of the fight between good and evil. The next step was Celuk, Mas, and Batuan, the famous art villages in Ubud. We also enjoyed a sumptuous buffet in the presence of Mount Batur. Now that’s what I call lunch with a view. Tegenungan Waterfall was a site magnificent to behold. We even got the chance to taste a variety of coffee and tea in Seribatu Spice Garden. The real highlight of our day was the Ubud Rice Swing where I took a swing with my husband over the lush green plantations. It was one of the best things in Bali to experience on our honeymoon.

Day 3-4: Watersports & Waterfalls
We transferred to our hotel in Ubud which was located amidst lush greenery. Bali Beaches have a reputation for being breathtaking and picturesque and Lovina Beach was no exception. We enjoyed taking a walk on the black sands of the beach. The famous Git Git Waterfall was a delightful site. The roaring sound of the water falling from the height of 35 m amidst rain forests was one of the best things in Bali to experience. Ulundanu Temple, located on the shores of Beratan Lake, was mesmerizing. We also enjoyed ATV rides and water sports during our stay in Ubud.
Day 5-6-7: Temple Run (LOL)
We arrived in Nusa Dua and checked into the luxury suite of Ulu Segara. Of all the accommodations in Bali, our stay at Ulu Segara was the best where we were pampered to the max. Rest of time was all about temple hopping. We visited Taman Ayun Royal Temple in the south of Bali and I must say, it is one of the most attractive temples. Tanah Lot Temple was another important landmark that we struck off from our list on Bali honeymoon. The sunset view from the temple was ethereal. We also visited Alas Kedaton that is clandestine amidst woods. It was time to say goodbye to Bali on the last day of our trip which we did with heavy hearts. At least, we head bucketload of memories to cherish later.

Bali Travel Tips
Here are a few tips from our experience that we would like to share with fellow travelers so that they can plan a budget trip to Bali.
Keep last 2 days of trip reserved for just relaxing, unwinding, and pampering
Include air tickets also in your travel quote. It worked out cheaper for us.
Get the prepaid sim from airport counters only. We found it expensive everywhere else.
Don’t not exchange currency at airport counters as there are so many exchange shops in the city. Check for decent looking shop and exchange the currency.
