My wife and I had been looking forward to our honeymoon for quite some time now. We wanted to cover more than one destination, so we decided on both Singapore and Bali. While other destinations would have given us only the aspect of nature, Singapore and Bali offered us much more. Be it thrilling water sports or a peaceful walk by the beach, whatever the heart desired, we experienced.

Singapore weather in April is actually quite pleasant, perfect if you plan on walking around. The days are a little sunny, but throw in a cap in your backpack and you’re good to go. We actually preferred this time of the year over the monsoon so we enjoyed a lot!
As for Bali weather in April, it’s the best time if you want to enjoy a beach vacation. We had an amazing time indulging in water sports and taking a tour of the city. Definitely add sunscreen to your packing list because you’re going to spend a lot of time at the beach.

Just as we touched base in Singapore, we were all excited to start our day. However we decided to rest for the afternoon and head out in the evening. On our was the famous night safari which we enjoyed a lot. We hopped onto the train that took us through the jungle as we spotted tigers, deers and much more. The cheers from the crowd alerted us of the animals and so we didn’t miss out on any! I’d say this is one of the best things to do in Singapore and we wouldn’t have missed it for anything.

On the second day of our trip, we were off to Universal Studios in Singapore. Might I just say, we had the most fun on this day. Even after spending a whole day here, we couldn’t cover all the rides, however, we sure hopped onto all the best ones! It’s quite different from all the amusement parks we’ve been to so far and enjoyed every second we spent there. Later in the night, we head to a casino ad tried our luck at a few games as well.

3. Sentosa: Here We Come!
Day 3 was an action-packed one! We put on our walking shoes and started our day by exploring some of the famous attractions in the city. We covered the Merlion Park, Singapore Flyer, Aquarium and Orchard Road as well. Later, we head to Sentosa Island which is one of the must-visit places in Singapore. We took a cable car ride as well which was quite thrilling when we looked down and realized how high up we were. We caught the ‘Wings of Time’ show and even visited Madame Tussauds Museum. The next day, we caught our flight to Bali.

4. Bintan Island: The Dream Cruise Experience
After making the most of our time in Bali, we came back to Singapore for a stay in the Dream Cruise. They don’t lie when they call it the ‘Dream’ Cruise. It felt like we were Jack and Rose from Titanic, of course without the unfortunate events that followed. But just the cruise was so luxurious and beautiful, we were left speechless. The views were simply stunning while the weather was in our favor, simple the most romantic evening of our trip!

After a most enjoyable time in Singapore, it was time to head to the tropical paradise. After a fun yet tiring day of water sports, this was the perfect spot to enjoy some peace and solace. After spending time at the temple, we headed back to our hotel to relax for a bit!

3. Kintamani: Time For A Tour!
On our last day in Bali, we had the Ubud Kintamani Tour on our itinerary. We started out by visiting the beautiful Tegalalang Rice Terrace and also visited places like the Ubud Monkey Forest and the Ubud Village itself. This is a great place for shopping and picking up some souvenirs. The tour was quite amazing and we captured a bunch of great pictures on our journey.

In Singapore, we stayed at the Parc Sovereign Hotel which is a wonderful 4-star hotel located close to Little India. The stay here was quite luxurious and had all the comforts we desired. As for Bali, we stayed at the Uppala Villa & Spa Seminyak. Here we opted for a private pool villa which I would definitely recommend. They also arranged a lovely dinner for us which was quite memorable as well.

If you are looking for Indian restaurants in Singapore, you’ll find plenty of choices. Since we stayed close to Little India, it was even easier for us. Meals start from 15 SGD and there is a wide variety of choices. However, if you are a non-vegetarian, do indulge in some of the local delights as well.
In Bali as well, there are quite a few Indian restaurants around Ubud. We enjoyed a dinner at our villa which was delicious as well. Food certainly won’t be a problem at both these destinations.
