    Constructed in 1942, the control of Half Moon Bay Airport was handed over to the county only in 1947 after the world war II ended. In addition to the normal flying services, it also provides air-ambulance and coast guards the sea-rescue operations. However, it is closed on Mondays. Napa Jet Center also offers flying privately at a hefty price tag if you are a licensed pilot.
