The hotel stands in the land of kings stretching around 300 miles from the northeast to the southwest in the Aravalli ranges in Rajasthan. Majority of these hill forts showcase the masterpieces of architecture, but Alila Fort stands above them all.
Complete with cannons and guns at the entrance, the Bishangarh Fort’s architecture was influenced both by the Mughals and the British. While transforming it into a luxury hotel, the makers made sure that the palace retains its Shahpura royal history reflected in the regal design of the hotel. The fortified seven foot thick walls with stark features once housed families of great distinction, and will now be open to showcase its rich history and grandeur to the world.
After an elaborate seven-year restoration, the Alila Bishangarh has managed to retain its original structure of towering turrets and arched windows.
