  • The 1400-year old fort was also once the residence of Bathinda Fort, it is believed.
  • Four of the cannons that Babbar brought along with him when he came to India are placed inside this very fort.
  • What makes this fort so special is that it is the oldest standing fort in India.
  • The bricks that were used to make this fort date back to Kushana period when Kanishka ruled over northern India.

There are 36 bastions inside the fort and it is about 118 ft high. There is even a Gurudwara inside the fort. Feel free to visit it.
