My family trip to Maldives was the peaceful getaway we always wanted. Serene, picturesque, and endowed with lush greenery and tropical vibes, the destination relaxed and rejuvenated me, my wife, and our baby.
Choosing Maldives was a bit difficult when it came to selecting our holiday destination since it was competing with other awesome destinations like Bali and Mauritius but ultimately our decision turned out to be fruitful for it was a great trip.
Additionally, the representative from TravelTriangle ( travel site found on the Internet) also guided us well regarding the same. And since we are speaking of traveler choice, I would also like to mention that I really liked the fact that how one can get their own customized itinerary and trips planned from them.
Details of our family trip to Maldives

Trip Type: Family
Inclusions: All meals, Transfers, and Accommodation

Day 1: Welcome to Maldives
We took our flight to Maldives from Bangalore and reached the destination and our hotel approximately 8 hours late than our scheduled time. The flight delay in between had caused a massive wait time but nonetheless we were optimistic for we wanted to begin our trip on a high note and also because these things are usually out of control.
Later, after landing in Maldives and subsequently being transferred to the Fun Island Resort, we checked in late in the night and proceeded towards are beach facing villa.
To compensate for missing out on our dinner, the hotel had arranged sandwiches and some totter snacks for us to eat.
To tired from the journey, we quickly retired for the night.

Day 2 & 3: Chilling at the private island resort
These two days were spent relaxing and indulging in the beach vibes of the place. From playing video games to outdoor games to feeding stingrays and laying around at the beach, my wife and I along with our kid, were simply enjoy life without any stress or worries.
Some of the most beautiful memories were made during these days.
Day 4: Saying goodbye to the island
This was the last day of our family trip to Maldives and after lazing around and relaxing some more, we finally checked out and bid goodbye to the island.
Overall if I look at it, my family holiday in Maldives was a perfect escape from the city life. It was a retreat that was loaded with luxury, peace, and serenity that we would remember for the rest of our lives. Yes, there were a few hiccups regarding the service at the resort but barring that, everything else was great.

The wow moments from our trip
- The resort property was excellent and our stay at both the gorgeous beach and water villas was even better.
- Stingray feeding, crystal clear waters, beach vibes, fun and games – added together beautifully to give us a holiday that we always wanted.
The not so good points
- We were supposed to do scuba diving also but due to the delay in shifting to our water Vila, missed our slot, and by the time got free, it was too late to do so.
- Fun Island Resort is a great property but the service can be so much better.
Tips for future travelers
- We booked our trip at the last minute and hence had to face some hiccups – I would recommend everyone to plan in advance and choose your resort very carefully for it can make all the difference in the trip.
One can also take cruises for dolphin viewing and for those who want to do scuba diving, it is mandatory to book it atleast one day in advance.
