India gets its first underwater restaurant as businessman Bharat Bhatt, along with his wife Varsha, inaugurated on 1st February 2016 The Real Poseidon in Ahmedabad. Surprised aren’t you? So were we, when CNN-IBN first reported the same on 31st January 2016.
“An undersea restaurant in inland city?” Yes! That is precisely what the architectural marvel is about. Named after the Greek God of Sea, it is built inside an aquarium and is a complete delight for aqua lovers and little kids!

The 32-seater restaurant is spread across 3,000 sq feet, 20 feet below the ground.
Plush with 150,000 liters of water revitalized with a filtration tank, the restaurant’s aquarium features 4000 marine species that the customers can watch as they dine.

The fish have been sourced from the local markets in Ahmedabad, Rajkot, and Vadodara.
But despite being surrounded by so many species of fish and marine life, no seafood is served here. In fact, it is a pure vegetarian restaurant.
Apart from the traditional Indian dishes, it offers three international cuisines, viz. Chinese, Mexican, and Thai.

Well, the result was amazing. Here is a 360 degree view of the dining area.
And the cost of dining is at par with any other decent diner. In fact it offers a luxurious experience.
The approximate cost of dining for two people is INR 2,500.
There were 150 pre-bookings even before the restaurant opened. In fact, several seats of the restaurant have been booked up to 14th February 2016.
