I chose to go sightseeing in McLeodganj because I wanted a detour before starting the next phase of my life. Mcleodganj is a holy city in Dharamshala, which is famous for many reasons. The singular reason why I wanted to visit the hill station is because it is the residence of the Dalai Lama. The place exudes an exciting sense of spirituality from every crevice. This is just what I needed in my life at the moment. Luckily, it didn’t take a lot to convince my friends to pack their bags and set off for the mountains with me.

Our Hotels In Dharamshala
We checked into Hotel Vijay Palace at Dharamshala on our first day. Our hotel room was equipped with a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk. Like almost all hotels in McLeodganj, this one too offered us free WiFi. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The next day, we camped on Triund top. We were provided with sleeping bags to keep us warm overnight in our camp.
Local Food Of Dharamshala
Gorging on a Tibetan food is one of the best things to do in Dharamshala. We had freshly steamed momos, butter tea, and delicious soupy thukpas on our trip from Delhi to Mcleodganj. We wanted to try the whole menu at every local eatery we stopped by on our girls trip to Dharamshala, but we restrained ourselves. With our bellies full and hearts happy, we proceeded to go shopping in Dharamshala.
Shopping In McLeodganj
The highlight of our trip was shopping in McLeodganj. We visited the best places in McLeodganj to shop for natural products. I purchased a lip balm and a charcoal soap from one of the local stores. I fell in love with the natural herbal ingredients used to make products. The lip balm and the charcoal soap cost us INR 100 per piece.
