This waterfall is not very high and is surrounded by trees. Locally known as Air Terjun Kembar Gitgit, the waterfall flows all year round.

Nestled among lush green trees and clove plantations, the splendid Gitgit waterfall in Bali is located in Gitgit village, Singaraja district in North Bali. It is situated 10 kilometers from the town of Singaraja and 70 kilometers from the capital city, Denpasar. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Lovina beach to reach Gitgit Waterfalls. The 35-40m cascade drops beautifully in a pool that has a tiny shrine in it. Visitors are allowed to swim in the cool waters of the pool to relax after a tiresome yet picturesque hike to the waterfall. The waterfall was opened to the public in 1975 and currently is an important stop in the North Bali tours.

There is no perfect time to visit the Gitgit Waterfall since it has considerable water flow throughout the year. However, to see the waterfall when it’s most impressive and the strongest, visit it during Bali’s rainiest months, i.e., from November to March.
The waterfall is open from 7 am and the best time to visit the waterfall during the day is before 10 in the morning. It is because the waterfall gets busy and crowded later in the day. The Gitgit waterfall entrance fee ranges between 10000 to 20000 IDR ($0.68 to $1.36). So, to avoid the crowd and enjoy a dip in silence with the birds chirping in the background, arrive early.
